the graphics and sound are amazing, very atmospheric. embarassingly, the game was too much for my poor laptop to handle, so i wasn't able to get a framerate where I could play much.

Looks very cool, and great sound design. Wasn't too sure about what the goal was, and ended up losing control of the camera when my player accidentally ran into the skull.

Looks gorgeous. Especially like the grass <3 Found it a bit difficult to move around the map, the character seems to either move too slow, or too fast when you press Space and it sends the little guy half way across the map. Also the camera angle can get a bit awkward at times. Not sure how it's supposed to end, both my plays ended in me clipping through the skull in the centre and the game ending?

Works on Linux, though I have no sound coming out. Not sure what's the problem is. Looks very atmospheric. A fantastic setup for some mystic adventure game.

Graphics and sound are top-notch. I do like roaming around looking at stuff, but I wish I had clues. I think I'm supposed to activate relics around, which I did. As I activated more relics and torches the game progressed, the stage got clearer and more people came. Also nice touch on the music coming together as we progressed. But, after a while, I have no clue what to do. Overall, you guys nailed some aspects fairly well for the short time we were given. Well done.

wow.

I think I understand what you were going for.

You absolutely blew my mind, I simply don't want to spoil anyone which is why I choose not too say much, except the obvious: The visual fideliitty is absolutely unfathombale for the little time you had.

Unquestionably my absolute favourite game I played up until now! Thank you for letting me play your game u_u

/edit: you know what? I will spoil something. For you! 5s across the board! :DD

This game looks and sounds amazing but I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing other than walk around.

Game looks absolutely terrific, really great use of lighting! Character movement felt a little strange but otherwise a really great job! :D

Spoiler warning.

Beautiful game as mentioned above. My system was able to handle it fine and I don't have an especially powerful gaming rig. The gameplay itself wasn't that interesting in a vacuum, and I was a little confused if I was doing the right thing, because I missed a couple pieces. When the other people started showing up though, that was a good clue that I was doing the right thing. Overall, very intriguing experience with great atmosphere.

My best guess as to what happened is that I was performing some kind of ritual before sacrificing myself? Is that right?

This Ludum Dare edition has some of the best looking entries ever, but this one is the best so far.

The graphics and audio are pretty top notch, but the game started to heat up my laptop after a while and I couldn't figure out what to do so I had to quit.

The music does get repetitive after a while given that the gameplay is pretty slow.

I think some hint of what to do would be good. I figured I was probably supposed to activate as much stuff as possible? But if all I'm doing is running around activating stuff, the game feels kinda annoying because it's really hard to tell what stuff it might want you to activate. You have no idea what you can interact with, and in particular, it's really easy to miss some things (like the torch next to the box). It also isn't clear if I'm supposed to turn some of the boxes red, or if there's certain time frames associated with different actions. I think the set of things the player needs to do needs to be relatively small so that the player isn't stuck wondering if they missed an interactable object somewhere, or if there's actually another kind of interaction that they're supposed to do that is more intricate.

Took me awhile to understand the gameplay, but that's par the course for these kinds of immersive artsy games (we have similar complaints on our entry, though people have been hating pretty hard on our graphics). I love the atmosphere and the mood of this entry, and this is definitely the best atmospheric submission I've played so far. Will you write an article breaking down the scene setup and postprocessing effects? I'm curious what all was involved :)

Really interesting. Even though I had no idea, what I was doing (some kind progression feedback would be cool), I was mesmerized by the mystery. The background track fit perfectly. The art and graphics looked really polsihed for a jam entry. Good job! Effects and Feedback when using items was also very nice artistically.

Running spee of the character was a tad slow for my taste. Getting around the skill to check for items takes too long. Also, the camera choice (far away with zoom) holds it's own kind of problems. It got stick behind scenery often and I couldn't see anything. I wasn't able to solve the game before I got frustrated. There were a lot of other characters like me after I clicked every item on the scene (at least every I saw) but the skull was still did nothing. So I guess I missed an item or something. Like a said, some kind visual help regarding progression would help to keep possible player frustration to a minimum.

Good job nontheless!

Oooo, lots of intrigue in this.

I wasn't sure what I was doing / what I was supposed to be doing but the intrigue kept me exploring for a while. A mix of eerie and exciting when I got to see the other worshipers arrive.

This looks great and the audio stood out even more for me. Really sets a deep, mysterious tone.

I couldn't quite figure out if there was a way to awaken the skull, tried changing the colours of a few items but that didn't seem to make any difference. Would have been nice to have some more feedback about progress / purpose.

This is amazing. The graphics, the music, the sfx, and the atmosphere are all incredible. I love the aesthetic and mood. The blurry outskirts are quite immersive.

I'm not sure whether it's a good idea to provide the player with no information, because it's difficult to feel like you're progressing. But it also adds to the mystery ... hmm. Although I do I think it was clever to provide hints by introducing worshippers gradually as you activated(?) the various objects.

I also really enjoyed the shift in music, how it all dropped off, after activating everything. I immediately knew something had happened.

The ending helped me make sense of the game and its connection to the theme - a really interesting take on the concept. And it was a neat touch to make the game crash after completing it.

However I wasn't a fan of the camera controls, I think mouse-controlled camera movement would have been more enjoyable.

Fantastic job though, especially in 3 days!

Damn - got stuck in a tree. Activated a lot of things, didn't quite finish. Gameplay a little slow.

But, atmosphere and graphics A1, nice audio too, superb work!

Oh, and it worked beautifully on my super ultra wide 3840x1080 monitor.

Fantastic atmosphere , audio , and visuals, but not particularly fun? not much variety to walking slowly in a circle mashing E, but i loved watching all the worshipers crowd around. Nice stuff.

wow the mood is just so epic in this game (~ ̄▽ ̄)~ especially liked the skull coming up, a really gripping scene with that sound, well done!

fun to see someone else who use a third party sound engine, I used FMOD before and now Wwise. lovely music, emission and shaders too of course.👍

I also had trouble with camera controls, but that said, this is a beautiful game. The effects are particularly stunning. Loved the atmosphere and exploring the world!
