KEEP your egg ALIVE! (hoho, I hope that's a good enough LD theme usage there).

You are a mother bird who is trying to protect her offspring! Fight the evil (but cute) foxes that will try to eat your egg! And what will you fight with, you may ask? Well, with your FIRETHROWER! (duh).

This is my first Game Jam btw! (Without mentioning that it's also the very first time that I publish a game anywhere. So exciting!). It was an amazing experience! I'm still a slow programmer, so the game doesn't feel exactly finished. I would have liked to add a lot more things also, but I had a lot of fun making this, and I learned a lot! It was a very rewarding experience :D

I hope you can also have fun playing it!

Nice game! The graphics are cute and the music fits the game. There are some problems, though. At least for me, the mouse sensitivity is too high. Also you should clamp the camera, so you can't see trough the floor, etc.
Great game nonetheless, especially being your first jam!

Really fun and humorous game ! I loved it, even though burning those cutie foxes made my heart bleed. I enjoyed playing it, and though I am not really skilled, I had a good time. I also liked that when your egg is gone, you can still execute all the remaining foxes for revenge. :open_mouth:

not bad! the graphics are really cute and the controls are pretty intuitive. if it were not a game jam game id criticize the main gameplay loop being perhaps too simple, with the only real actions ever happening being burning the closest foxes or grabbing fuel. aside from one bug where i clipped through the floor and fell into the void the game is nice and polished.

Simple but fun. I feel bad for the poor foxes (I you say, they are cute). The graphics and control are quite polished, even I found the mouse a little too sensitive.

Some kind of "super foxes" with special powers could be a nice addition, to help the game to be less repetitive.

Those darn squirrels kept eating my egg before I could burn them all into a crisp (yeah, I know they are supposed to be foxes, but at first look the looked like squirrels and that stayed in my head even after reading they weren't). :fox:

Simple but cute graphics and solid gameplay. The only problem is the mouse being too sensitive.

Congratulations for finishing and publishing your first game. I have to agree with the issues first mentioned by @theinkskeleton regarding the camera and mouse sensitivity. Beside that you did an amazing job. Great game jam entry. Keep on coding :fire:

A really charming game with cute graphics! The mouse sensitivity was a little too high but other than that, the game was really fun! A really amazing entry for your first game/game jam!

The best part is the dramatic intro, that's one badass mother bird. I need a highscore or something to motivate me to play again!

Hahaha, I loved the "Maternal Instinct" warning. If the game is a survive as long as possible there should be some kind of timer or point count. Also, as other mentioned, what's with the mouse sensitivity. Enjoyable little game, congrats!

sometimes camera turns upside down, so fixing cameras y axis is mostly a good idea since enemies are always at the same elevation. And sometimes egg on center sent player to sky and it takes to much time to land again, if you used unity, you can give some more weight to enemy and 0 bounciness on rigidbody.

Cool little game! Cam was a bit sensitive and tended to flip, though. I wish there were different types of enemies or something to spice it up a little. Overall great work!

Fun and cute! :D I'd say the mouse sensitivity was a bit too high, not to mention the tutorial text at the beginning of the game vanishes too quickly, but other than that this was fun! Congrats on your first Jam entry, hope to see more from you in the future!
