Like the generated mazes. Enemies fast and own grenades super deadly. Short distances around corners means the lasers is less useful unless you are doing a classic backing up strategy. Maybe having it bounce off walls would be cool. Instructions clear and everything worked. Nice little game.

Great game! Could be well served with player weapons having some consequence, like recoil etc. so that you have a reason to ever stop shooting.

Fun game, totally nailed the theme. It worked pretty well in chrome, but not in firefox.

I really liked this game, especially the fact that it kept updating. My only suggestion would be to make it a bit more clear how you can avoid taking damage, or perhaps drop some health packs. Great work !

Very satisfying machine gun and splatter/fragment effects!
The "procedurally bad music" is actually quite fitting, and all the more awesome for being generated (on the fly?).
The pacing is good and sound effects are nice.

All in all, great work, although the theme is a bit thin.
Firefox worked fine for me.

If there is one time you should use procedurely generated soundtrack it's when the theme suggest using a loop... :stuck_out_tongue:

That being said, it was a very good soundtrack. the explosion sound was a bit to harsh though compared to the music.

I also don't like that I couldn't move mouse while moving

Other than that it was a very good entry!

Thanks for the game

@evogengames I don't change how the mouse works when keys are being held down; it sounds like your operating system is doing that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game and very fun idea. It's a great pleasure to fire continuously at enemies.

But we do not always understand why we die (my own grenade bouncing ? The explosion of an enemy ?)

I do not know if it is possible with the game engine you used, but the arrow keys makes the total web page scroll up and down. This is totally unpractical. Use the javascript function `event.preventDefault();` !

WASD keys has not this problem, but I don'use them because my keyboard is not QWERTY and it always messes up this crappy WASD.

An interesting improvement would be a smarter pathfinding for the enemies.

I use my own engine, so it's totally possible - although I didn't think about that, sorry.

As a quick fix, you can use the link https://itch.io/embed-upload/2782495?color=222222 instead.

The procedurally generated music is... interesting...

I really like the game feel, although the screen shake was just a little too high, made me feel a little dizzy.
I like the combo system, but it was really hard to get a combo over 3 or 4, not sure how to fix that.
I wanted to play aggressively but I didn't feel like I could?

The loop level generation is sweet! really cool concept, feels like there's genuinely something there. very trippy.

I went the wrong way at the start and died :P

really fun charging through the bombs as fast as possible before they blow up, and the music is really cool!

It was fun. I had a hard time moving though, the web browser kept scrolling when I moved up and down.

Really cool concept, how do you do the level proggression? Do you swap the tiles or do you have multiple levels "on top" of each other? Shooting felt surprisingly satisfying with the screen shake, but I wish the enemy behavior would have been a bit more varied. Good job overall.

I think you did a good job with this! It has a nice level of polish and is satisfying to play! Having an option to reduce screenshake could be good, but overall format of constantly generating new parts of the map was well done. I enjoyed it!

@joonamo It's multiple levels on top of each other.

This was fun! I loved the randomly generated stuff and that looked very smooth too. There wasnt really a difficulty curve, maybe give a time limit and make it so that the player has to be at the next loop within that time limit.
