I don't know if it's tired or what, but on my first playthrough it made me cry. lol
Awesome game.:)
Awesome work.
Music and art style are also neat!
I noticed that music tracks overlap sometimes, when you get the ending and then go to the menu, but that's no big deal.
Great work!
This game has a moving story, but a sadly realistic one!
The art is amazing!
And the music reflects perfectly the tone of the game
That's a big win!

This game could really use with faster walking speed, it is almost a hurdle getting to the necessary dialogues simply because everything is too far apart for the speed you walk at (might be exaggerating due to my peanut attention span, still).
Dialogue requires quite some more polish, at least in English (I don't know Portuguese, though good job on being able to write the game for 2 different languages in this timespan).
The graphics are really nice and the music complements the atmosphere, giving it the intended sad atmosphere. AND I NOTICED THAT ATHLETIC REFERENCE!
I found a tiny bug when the music sometimes overlap each other when going to menu/endscreen. Minor stuff really.
Congrats on more on jam!
The game relies on a moody storytelling, and what a mood it gives away... The filter somehow enhanches the saddens of the situation... The music is great too, but for some reasons i find it not too much stunning than the other things...
The only thing that i don't like (and i don't think is intencional) is that if i don't like a choise i made, unless is a major choise, i can just leave the room, re-enter the room and redo the conversation again... But what can i say???
I went ahead and voted on graphics even though I can't experience the rest.
In did not appreciate the theme at all, I'm afraid. It's not like we need more reminders of the ongoing pandemic and I don't really like when games get political.
But you did really impressive job on the game. It feels polished and well thought-out. Congrats!
@fabula-rasa I agree with you. we don't need more reminders. Unfortunately, we live in a society
@pushkan its a CRT filter
The characters sprite continuously animates even when standing still. This should be an easy fix by checking if the player is moving of not. If not, either set the character to an idle sprite or to one of the frames in the current sprite that most resembles a standing position and set the animating speed to 0.
With each room that had a choice, i was able to re-eneter and make my choice again. I think this is ok ifyou want to allow , and then going back to the nurse and saying i wont pay for treatment and my dad then died. This doesn't make sense and completely breaks the immersion.
If you still want players to be able to change their choices, I recommend putting a few more checking in place. Something like, if the player has made the second choice, the first choice is now unavailable. So you would delete the option with the nurse or give her some new dialogue and use the same technique going forward.
Another thing that happened was after a few restarts, there were mulitple instances of the music track playing, this was unbearable and i had to restart the game! Again, a simple of check of, if this music is not already playing, then play this music, should work.
Congrats guys, good job, keep jamming!
Keep up the good work and see you next Ludum Dare!
Cool game
I'm a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to team up and maybe work on new games, are you interested?
