It's your first week as a full-time employee at OGREL. Will you manage to survive the backstabbing and treachery of the office environment? Will you impress you boss? Will you manage to keep your career alive?

Keep IT Alive is a beigepunk IT simulator. Try to survive for as long as possible in a corporate IT environment. Read emails and try to impress corporate. Will you fly or fall?

For extra ambience put on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7ZZp8XuUTE

NOTE: the wasm build currently takes a long time to load. We're working on a fix for this.

Dead inside. Nice! Had a good laugh with this game! Thanks for the Linux build. Btw, we also made a game with Godot engine.

I wish responding to the scams would have had more of a payoff, and there was a bit more content, but what was there was really nice. I got the endings where you get fired and where you automate your job and stay forever. Is there a scam ending? I took a bunch of scams both times...

I had an issue where lines were aligned strangely and some of my responses were cut off. It seemed to happen no matter how I resized the window (on the web build).

@tattomoosa there are a few other endings, but they're related to specific chains of emails rather than to the general scam stuff. We definitely would have wanted to add more content and results from replying to scams if we had more time.

Do you have a screenshot of the graphical issues you're getting? I know about a few issues currently, but I don't think they match up to what you described.

I'm pretty sure I had this job before. I had a lot of fun trying to find the endings. I got 3 - are there more?

Ending where I got fired was a bit confusing. I kept getting performance reviews that read like I was being fired, but could play another day.

Some wonderful references in this one, loved reading all the emails.

Loved the format of this game and the beigepunk! The spam was spot on for the 90's. My main suggestion would be increasing the font size and contrast of the emails to make them easier to read. Overall, hope you go further with a post-comp version of this. --Anna

Great concept! Kind of like a mundane IT version of Papers Please. The emails were fun to read, especially the scams. I’d love to see this expanded into something with more ongoing storylines and consequences.

I work in an office and I can confirm this game is an accurate representation of an office job, doesn't matter if it's 90's, 00's or 10's. Colors and GUIs have changed over the years but the corporate bullshit, the pointless activities and the alienation of workers remain the same. Glad to see takes on the theme like this one.

Also, the game has a lot of content and every detail is taken into account. Hope you add to the game some office ambience too, the youtube video does the trick but it would be better to have it in-game. Anyway you made a great entry!

P.S. I want a "dead inside" sticker for my office computer ASAP
