Homeless Business by Ludo

[raw]
made by Ludo for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

Homeless Business is a game where you embody a homeless man working with a Punk Gang to clean up Chaos City. Run away from the police, they will try to stop you !!

Use your shopping cart to bring junk to the landfill and get your pay ! Hide from policemen, they will try to steal your money. Try to get as much as you can before the time runs out.

Our team is made of 4 French game design students who wanted to have a little bit of fun. We wanted something a bit whacky and physics based, especially with the shopping cart controller, the trash items and the random AI. With more time we would have loved to polish more and add some more sound/feedbacks. The objective of the game changed during production and in the end we put the timer, not original but encourages the player to rush to gather trash. The map is fairly big and well set up but we did you 3rd party assets, so no Graphics category for us. :(

We had a lot of fun anyways and thanks for playing, see you at the next Jam ! Special thanks for Alexis, our friend and inspiration <3

The idea is awesome but I found the controls a little too sluggish, stopping, starting and turning felt like they took way too long. Once you're up to speed though it's really fun!

Very good idea. Very frustrating that you can't carry more than one TV at a time. The movement and physics are kind of buggy but yielded funny moments. My character stuck to the floor and then went flying and spinning, I came to stand on the roof of some buildings. It's easy to get lost in the scenario, so it would be nice to have something pointing where junkyard is. Only the minimap doesn't help much. I really liked the visual style of the game. Congratulations for the entry!

I played a whole playthrough and managed to get a score of 387. The atmosphere and exploring around the city was cool. Howewer controls felt like sliding on ice. Due to placement of the drop off zone and garbage spawn zones I found myself only going for the couple closest spawn points.

Good job! They game is good, but it's a bit hard to play it due to the controls though. But the art style it's really good, and when it does like superman with the kart... it's awesome:)

The visuals on display here area very impressive, and the gameplay itself is a lot of fun. As already mentioned, the controls feel very loose, and i got stuck a few times where even reseting my position didnt seem to help break me out of right away. I loved the minimap feature, This would have been imposible to navagate without it.

Thanks for controller support. Keyboard felt a bit difficult and lacked polishing. Once you're up to speed, it feels better! Nice work! Care to checkout my submission?

This is pretty fun! Physics based games are always extremely tough to fine tune so I think you did a great job with the amount of time available. I agree with other posters the controls could use some work, or rather just how the controls affect the movement, the controls themselves are fine. More acceleration at the start of a move would help it not feel so much like an ice rink maybe.

Aside from controls/movement - My character had a tendency to just walk diagonally on 2 wheels which made movement impossible without resetting position. I also found that turning under high speed sometimes just puts you into a spin, this happens a lot trying to avoid the police.

Great concept and execution, had fun playing it!

Good looking game
I managed to fall through the map by ramming the lamp post directly above the container.

Like many of the previous people have mentioned I found the controls to be too sluggish. As well I had a hard time getting a solid play-through as the character did not seem to handle collision very well.

I found the atmosphere/models to be really fun and the top speed character animation was fun!

Controls definitely need work, the acceleration and turning radius get annoying after a point cause we lose precious time just trying to steer & move around, All the models, environment & PP are well done. Audio fits the game too.

Impressive graphics for a game jam. The music was absolutely awesome as well.

Sadly I found the controls very unresponsive and sluggish. I also got stuck in the environment several times, and even though you provided the reset button - that didn't always to the trick. Especially up by the TVs I tended to get stuck behind the dumpster, fence and light post.

If you did some work on the controls and the feel of running around this could be a very fun game indeed. The physics of the flying objects made for some fun situations. I managed 510 points - but the game didn't want to end when time ran out. I was stuck up by the TVs by then, but wanted to see what happened when time was up.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed your game.

I can give a hint just about the business, etc. Everyone needs to think very hard about how to implement business solutions. Without it, there is nowhere. But many people do not know exactly how to do it. That is why I recommend everyone to think about it and now just find a [salesforce development language](https://www.ergonized.com/blog/what-does-a-salesforce-developer-do/)    , it is very necessary to understand this language and be able to work with this business solution. I hope that I can help and that it will be as useful to everyone as possible. Good luck and success! I hope I have helped!

It is a perfect game! I just made one via software development company and going to make money on it. I think that https://wow24-7.io/saas is going to help in such a question and can solve this problem really fast. You are getting informed by a virtual assistant, who is helping with all the questions.
