SubCity by Morphman DeClaun

[raw]
made by Morphman DeClaun for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

SubCity: Underwater Defender May or may not be somewhat inspired by the old Atari classic Missile Commander.

This operates quite differently though, with "dummy missiles" locking on to a target destination and much smarter enemies (well... much might be an exaggeration).

Nice nostalgic game. It could use a countdown to not spam rockets.

Frantically clicking and moving the mouse across the upper part of the game screen worked well to defeat nearly all the enemies, I don't know wether that is how it is supposed to play. Still liked the game though.

If there were sounds, I could not hear them. Would have helped with mood score.

@adriczero No, there are no sounds. That's why I opted out of the "Sounds" category. Sorry, maybe next time. I had limited time to work on it this time around and focused on the rocket homing mechanics and the AI.

@godsboss Yeah, I noticed that too, but there is a timing issue I couldn't sort in the allotted time. Next version of the game has a fix for that. I was hoping not too many players would notice :)
