Description: You really are stuck in the center of it all. Collect pieces that come off the assembly line to build robots based on the templates provided at the top of the screens. Too many errors though, and you will be fired. Good luck, hopefully you move quick enough and are lucky enough to get the right pieces.

Recommended you play at fullscreen.

Buttons: W -> Move Up A -> Move Left S -> Move Down D -> Move Right E -> Pick up items Q -> Drop items P -> Bring up Pause menu Left Shift -> Run Mouse Pointer -> Face direction

Rules: Pick up items off of conveyer belt using E key. Drop pieces in robot build area with the Q key. Robot build area is the cylinder toward the back of the room. In the center is a trash bin. You can remove pieces you have picked up but don't need here (Press Q while facing trash bin). Once pieces are set in the build area they CAN'T be removed. However, they may be swapped with the same type of piece. Example: Can swap blue head for red head, but can't swap blue head for red legs.

I think that this is a fun take on the theme, and the longer I played it the more I felt stuck in the loop. This is a cool concept for a game, although it was a bit rough around the edges. I found it confusing to have different interaction keys for picking up and putting down the robot parts, I think that as the pickup required the mouse pointer to be in the right place anyway it may have been nicer to allow clicking to do the interaction. The frantic nature of the game, trying to find the right parts for the requested templates was interesting, although it felt like I could never keep up after three or four robots. I think that this is a game that could have benefited a lot from some sound effects, but I understand not having time for them in a game jam setting. Well done overall!

It was a bit hard to get hang of.. The graphics could have been better, audio too. U could have allowed mouse click to pick stuff up! Also maybe a mouse pointer would have helped..

The UI is clipped, you can adjust it in itch.io in windows size (add 200 to height set inside unity so the whole window fits without clip). The idea is quite interesting, maybe missing a bit on polishing and difficulty curve, but for a compo it's a solid one. Would be nice to have just one interaction key for pickup/drop.

It took some time to understand the principle, the guide was a big help. In the end I had a lot of fun building the robots, my highscore is 5 :-)

Some feedback for you:

+ The character was a bit hard to move around with a touchpad. When grabbed a mouse from the other room it was a lot better to control.

+ The first time I played, I focussed on the left blueprint the most. When finisched it got replaced with a new one. I did not realize that the time was running out for the others which ment I was game over pretty fast ^^"
Maybe it was better to move the remaining blueprints to the left and add the new one at the right side.

+ I like how the player has to move around to pick up the pieces. I tried just standing next to the assembly line, but that took too much time.

+ Next time, try to add some sound to 'juice up' the game more :-) A simple audio que when a blueprint runs out of time would add so much to the game :-)

I had fun playing the game. The theme was very visible, good job!

Fun concept well executed - I got a score of 6! Bit hard to control - the movement takes a while to build momentum and reach an effective speed. Other than that, great work :)

This is rough around the edges, and I agree with @smilewood that having separate buttons to pick up and drop parts is confusing. Also, if you pick up the wrong part, there should be a quick way to discard it (like putting it back on the conveyer belt).

Still, I like the idea of having a build a robot like that. The concept is great, and I know 48 hr is not much time, but I think it could be a fun little game if you continue to work on it.

I liked the race to assemble the robots. The timer per blueprint was a nice touch. The assembly, pickup and dropping of items worked well. The game was fun.

Though, I couldn't figure out what "errors" were. If felt like all of a sudden, the game was over, and I didn't know why.

Okay little game that felt very similar to overcooked! One problem that I ran into was getting the correct pieces for the robot I was making, it seemed to be kinda random what was coming out and trying to piece them together was a hassle.

I liked the mechanics of your game. I see a lot of potential if you want to continue working on this project. It is very challenging and fun to try to assemble the robots by placing the pieces in the correct order. I believe that differentiating the pieces by colors, is something simple but very functional. Perhaps if you allow me to suggest, the speed of the treadmill could decrease as a way of rewarding the player, with each robot correctly assembled. In general you have created a different and interesting experience. Good job.

the idea is good but in my opinion it needs simpler controls, like a single button to pic up and drop parts, or walking in the direction where the head is turned
