Mobodo by Revetoon
Your life cycles in a loop. Can you manage to break free ?
This game was created by us two: Revetoon and JojoPalambas. It's our second Ludum Dare (the first one being LD46) and we are happy to present you our work!
Synopsis :
You follow the life of an unknown human, which seems quite ordinary at first, but things start to change miraculously. Watch a cute story unfold before your eyes while you help this human make his ways through this seemingly endless life cycle.

Trailer (small spoiler alert): https://youtu.be/v0xD5TvBgLM
Tools:
- Cubase: For all the sounds and the musics
- Blender: For 3D Modeling everything
- Unity: As the game engine
- Gimp: For all the sprites
Assets :
Every asset in the game was made by us during the 72 hours. The only exceptions are assets that were made by us prior to the Jam: the Human, the DeskChair, the computer screens and some bottles. In addition to that, 2 sounds were taken on the Internet.
Thanks for playing and rating our game, hope you have a wonderful time :)

I spilled so much cofee though
While playing it I was frantically scanning the whole screen and clicking on every object as there wasn't any clear indication which objects are intractable until they suddenly light up when pointing at them. It was frustrating as a player that there were multiple scenes with no interactions.
I know that the time scope was too tight to make more things to happen, that push the narrative forward or not.
Tried to get different endings, but there is one, am I right?
I like the fact that I have to look for objects in the environment that are going to do something. I guess if you had the time you would have added a lot more. ^^ Especially for the parts where you don't have anything to do except wait for the time of day when there are things you can interact with. If you update this game, I think it might be cool to add "useless" but just funny interactive elements, to have something to do in those moments.
The loop of the daily routine is something that may come to many people's mind, but each in his own way to interpret and realize it, I really like the way you made it! ^^
I love the fact that it feels like you're talking about real-life events, or at least drawing inspiration from real-life events (I guess! Even if I hope that the dude didn't really pull the crank on the subway for fun? xD).
Thank you for this cute little story! :D
PS: I think you like realistic fabric plugins ;P
Yeah looking back, we would have loved having more interactable elements in each scene, even if they don't have any utility, just add some liveliness.
We wanted to focus on narration (through non textual clues) and graphisms for this game and I'm happy you liked it !
The music is nice too, the clichés work very well. Fitting the heart-rate monitor in the hospital room into the bassline was a funny idea.
Fantastic little experience and a perfect game-jam game. Great job!
