Really cool idea and well executed! The controls were a little unintuitive at times, but generally good overall!

Nice mechanic. Great aesthetic. My only criticism is that it lacks difficulty.

Really great feel to this one, as well as a tremendous visual style and SFX! Would love to see this expanded upon!

Fun game! I think there's a Pico8-browser focus problem, I couldn't play it on Firefox, my x's and z's kept ending up as page searches, but it was fine on Chrome.

Also very nice to find a game with a merciful learning curve :-)

Pretty neat take on this concept. I played a few of these loop-to-kill games so far but you have the most unique control scheme. My favorite thing to do was just make a gigantic loop from 1 corner to the next and let that run it's course - it'd basically kill everything.

Dunno if this was intentional or not, but you can hold X to stop yourself doing the loop movement. This gave me even more precision and I could tackle just about any scenario without taking hits.

This is one of the better Pico action games I've even played, how hard was it to get the player to travel in a circle like that? It could be easy, I'm just not used to seeing it from Pico games.

Nice action game overall. Solid application of pacman-esque sounds to top it off!

Thank you for playing everyone!

@grenk @mbrezu Difficulty was something that I'm definitely working on dialing in. Last LD my game suddenly got extremely difficult, so I biased towards being easier this time. Clearly, different people have different experiences, thanks for the feedback!

@peachtreeoath You found all of the movement quirks! I initially didn't intend for the player to be able to stop their movement, but didn't have time to fix that bug and figured it might allow the player to last longer when the number of enemies really increased. You can also resize the loop if you are stuck on the edge of the screen which is a bug that needs to be fixed. Giant loops around the screen is indeed a way to cheese the game, but you run the risk of an enemy spawning or getting cut off by an enemy moving towards a corner. I had another enemy planned that would move just fast enough to cut you off if you tried to loop around the screen, but I had to cut it. That would make it a bit riskier though!

The circle movement was something that I had to spend a lot of time on to get to feel right, keeping the player on the screen if the loop went off, and getting that to feel right, were the things that took the most time. Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Very cool idea! I loved the art and the overall arcade vibe you went with. Feels very polished and put together. Encapsulating all the enemies in the loop and timing it to destroy them all felt great. I will say that there is a serious flaw in the design of the one mechanic which is that you can simply just keep creating a loop that surrounds the entire screen to keep destroying everything. This kind of makes the game extremely easy and almost undermines the really cool mechanic you built. If enemy AI was a bit better at projecting its shots towards the edges or possibly having an enemy break the look itself, or even limit the size of the loop you make could easily remedy this. Great job on submitting and I had lots of fun playing.

Nice game mechanics. It seemed a bit too easy, at least for me :)

Nice little game! The idea was cool - weirdly reminded me a bit of Pokemon Ranger. The sound effects were nice - some background music would have rounded it off nicely.

Really nice and inovative mechanics, it works very well !
And the graphics and sound design made it really cute.

The only thing missing is the score while playing, and otherwise, it was really fun !
