A GAME MADE FOR THE LUDUM DARE 47 COMPO

Project-L.O.O.P is a game of strategy, skill, and practice. You were on the new L.O.O.P crew, a crew that would man the first time-travelling spaceship. Except - it went wrong.

You wake up on the ship. The rest of the crew dead, and the Time Warp Drive damaged. The Time Warp Drive will try and take you back in time every 60 seconds, unless you manually reset it. You have to repair the ship (by completing objectives), whilst making sure you never let the Time Warp Drive reach 0.

Fun idea that you have to reset the timer or accept the spinning out. I got a bit stuck after a while with what needed to be done, but I had a good time playing your game. I liked the idea that you got physical passwords and the mechanic that you could only carry one thing with you.

Among us vibes with the station. Nice job.

Really awesome world building, and really great autmosphere.
Tho i got stuck pretty early on, it feels like a really fleshed out game.

It think my only issue was with how slow the text moved and the sound effects were very detering- the walking in particular was a bit too much. Was also hard to read the UI...

very nice idea, enjoyed the game, especially the effect when the loop ends

-GUI was sadly not scaling so i had a hard tim reading the stuff

-walking sounds irregular, sometimes stopping for a sec

-when walking back to a previous objective you will ovveride your current objective

-you can get "infinite" time when you just complete the same objective for several times

Thanks for your feedback! I don't have time to do any bug fixes now, because of school, but I may try over the weekend.

Thanks for playing!!

Just wondering if there will be a future update to the project L.O.O.P.S OS.. v2.0

Alright, played through phase one now. Cool game and idea! It made me want to keep going and finish my tasks.

I noticed that, and don't know if it's a bug or intended - but when i were in admin i could just interact with the console and gain time. So i spammed the consoles abit just to make sure i had time and didn't need to rush :P
Felt like play Among us but.. alone :P
Nice with some story elements in the beginning to set the mood. Would like the text to come quicker though.

Nice work overall!

@deedz Ah, yes, maybe in the future, although i can't see it happening anytime _very_ soon, because I have school. I will post an update to the Itch page though when I do.

@dakke Thanks for playing and for the feedback!Haha i felt the Among Us vibe as well xD.

Your game has a great atmosphere and sounds. I liked the level layout also. However it was a bit unintuitive to know where to go next. Great entry tho :)

Cool game. And with a map too!

Starting credits set the mood nicely. Sounds are very nice.

Thanks!

Well done. Nice atmosphere in that game. Certainly some vibes from some game we might know. :P
Nice work. :thumbsup:

Great entry! I really liked the atmosphere of the game and the sounds too, but it would be one of my favorites of the jam if you polished it a bit more, the animations sometimes glitch (not a thing that destroyed my experience) but I got confused sometimes of what I had to do, but really nice entry, I enjoyed it a lot! great job.

@lady-stardust Thank you!

@spacecadet I understand what you mean about knowing where to go next, my bad lol. Thanks for playing!

@ryzy27 Thank you for playing and rating!

@d-lord Much appreciated!

@enzoup Wow thanks so much! I understand what you mean about polishing, I had intended to do some, but I was literally right up against the wire and didn't have time. Glad you enjoyed it though! Thanks for playing!

I loved the core concept here, and feel like it could be iterated on many times. This is a really sound idea with a great execution. Also, amazing mood for something so simple. Well done!

I did enjoy the game the art was pretty good although it was a little confusing but that's probably just me being stupid. The music was good but the walk sound was repetitive and loud and got *very* annoying *very* fast. Overall great first entry!

Good job! I think it looks awesome! As a future step you could add some great puzzles among the ones you already had. Also the time added between steps is a little too much, it could be less to generate more tension. Well done :smile:

@sharks thank you! I can understand it being a bit confusing, and I do notice the walk sound issue now - thanks for the feedback!

@andy593 Thank you!

@laurari Thanks! I agree with you that more puzzles would be great, i just ran out of time for the compo ;) Also, the tension idea is great - wish I had thought of it during the compo! Thank you!

That was great! I think the footsteps were a bit much, I think they could have been slowed down and made quieter. The effect when you lose actually startled me, but it was really neat! I love how much content there was, and how each room really felt unique. The map helped a ton. Great job!

This is a brilliant idea and the atmosphere and lighting are fab.

Very ambitious for the time frame and great to see you got it done.

I'd make the doors a bit less sticky and pull them all the way out, so the character glides through easier, but just something small.

All the best and keep up the good work.

I see you put really a lot of effort in this game and achieved a lot within that short amount of time. Of course that creates more mechanics people can complain about :-P. So here is my list:

- When you skip the intro you still here typing-sounds
- It would be cool if you could have the option to display the text instant. I'd the choise to wait or to skip. So to my shame I haven't read the story :-(.
- Having sound controls for the settings
- May update the walking-animation (or not - it somehow looks funny ^^).
- Randomize the passwords (I think they're hardcoded at the moment)

I'm totally aware of that you've created a complex game within a short amount of time. So of course compromises had to be done and I've respected that in my rating. You have a really good base. Just keep on working :-)

I really want to point out that I'm impressed by the complexity! Really good job!

The story is really well though out and elaborate. The music sets the mood very nicely and the graphics are fun.

What bothered me was the relatively extremely loud walking sounds, so I eventually had to turn down the audio almost to zero.

Reading through the text could maybe streamlined a bit by having the remaining text appear instantly when a button/mousebutton is pressed.

To summarize: I liked it very much and am very proud of myself ;) :
