The game's aesthetic really gels well. Pulled of the PS1 graphics really well!! There were good tense moments, but I never really felt threatened. And AI felt like it gave up the chase a bit too easily. Does AI also follow your footprints at some points? Or are they all running a predetermined path?

neat idea around the theme! really like the visual style of the levels. AI and difficulty needs a bit of tuning, I think. would have liked it to be more difficult

I just played on web no problems- (firefox win i7 gtx 1060) well, low frames, but I can't believe the graphics, and AI, and map size for a 3D web game. Really impressive! Big fan of the squatch, glad he's back. Fantastic work!

@hangarter We are still working out some kinks with our web version, we hope to have them worked out very soon. As a temporary fix, you may want to try zooming out and then zooming back in, that has fixed the problem a number of times.

Nice to see a stealth game here and there. Loved the way you played the theme of the Jam. The AI works really well. The attack animation could've been a bit better but besides that, good game!

The game is quite fun, the idea is neat and I love the aesthetic, you really captured the 32bit style. I played on web (firefox on ubuntu), it worked fine.

I loved the graphic style, you nailed the PS1 art style !
The concept with the Big Foot is nice, it goes the same on his visual design, and his controls are good too !
The sound feedback are cool, and the music fits well the action on screen !

Overall really nice work !

Well done, the intro is hilarious! I found it very hard to avoid the enemies, and fighting them equally hard as there's just no way of turning. Then I found out you can make a sharp change of direction while sprinting and that enemies can't do that, so I kept sprinting with all the enemies following me and, welp, beat the game that way. I would probably either completely ditch the combat or make it more useful, right now it doesn't ever feel the right option, but maybe that's just me...

Overall, really nice job, you all should be proud :)

@ebediam thanks for playing! We wanted to emphasize the face that you don't want to get caught by making the enemies fast, but also help you get out of those situations with the stun and cornering. I think that if we up the turn speed, it will help players stun the enemies and complete the intended dichotomy. Thanks so much for your feedback :)

The PS1 artstyle and atmosphere were very effective. Loved the humor in the opening cutscene; I wish there was an ending one to go with it. My one big problem was that I didn't realize the goal of the game was to leave tracks for a while, though in hindsight the arrow was obvious. Nice work overall!

lol so this game made me laugh. I felt like I playing ape escape mixed with metal gear solid. However I couldn't figure out how to beat the second room and ended up walking outside the level haha. But overall it was fun and definitely had the PS1 aesthetic going on

I really liked the visuals, you pulled off the PS1 style pretty well. It's clear a lot of work went into this, and I think you guys made something pretty funny and interesting. That said, the stealth elements feel a little overshadowed by Bigfoots ability to kill everyone in sight. (Though, sometimes the corpses would start sliding after me, which was kinda terrifying). I might make him a little less powerful, give him a cooldown on his attack or something.
Either way though, great entry!

@nosfer thanks for playing! You might be right. Maybe next time we'll do affine textures.

@sciman101 thanks for the kind words! You may be right, Bigfoot definitely needs a little balancing. I have heard of the corpse glitch, but I am not able to repro it for some reason lol. I hope to fix it one day, but it sounds pretty funny at least! Thanks for playing.

WOW, this game is SERIOUSLY creepy. It reminds me of Silent Hill on PS1.

I had intense chills from the voice in the intro and the vibe continued to be overall unsettling. The only thing that kind of breaks the mood is the music, I personally thing it sounds a bit too happy compared to the other elements.

Overall great job!

An engaging game with a fun artstyle, taking an interesting spin on the theme that I wouldn't have thought of before! The music and graphics are nicely done, and the stealth mechanics feel fun. One minor adjustment I'd make is to make it slightly harder to escape once you've been seen, so staying completely hidden is more important.
The intro was hilarious as well, good job!

Fun game 🙂 I love bigfoot 😄 The aesthetic was great, loved the models and the shaders used, it all really worked well. I think bigfoots attack could have used a little more feedback but I suppose it was a stealth game!
Really great entry well done!

That was the most original interpretation of the theme I came over so far. Great! I like the pixelated look, and the somehow comical running animation of Big Foot. Attacking was a little fiddly though, especially when dealing with two guards at a time.

Nice use of the theme. The mud footprint was clever. Really enjoyed the level design and the patrolling AI. Ended up in a pileup and managed to get away. Very fun. Character art was great also. Nice jam!

The name is great as is the game! Really good mood and dialogue (I'm glad to see this is coming out more in Jam games). It was fun to play and the graphics were old and classic, and consistent, meaning it all went together well. The other audio components also went together well. As for improvements, I felt the AI could be polished a bit, they were still really good, they just turned a bit slow for me, but their running speed being faster than bigfoot was really good! I just struggled to lose them, but I guess that added to the sneaky aspect of it. Anyway, the levels felt really good to play as they were designed really well. The lighting was really effective too. Overall, really good job!

Great game, graphics are really nice and the difficulty curve is good. Just a bit sad that, when you've been spotted, you can just run to the next level to escape (I'd make it more punishing). And sometimes the camera angle hide some enemies (when the ground is high), which makes it difficult to play in these parts. But overall it's a great entry congrats!

The concept is super cool! And I loved the cheesy silly story and the voiceovers at the beginning. However, I found the gameplay itself somewhat lacking.
1. I wish the camera centered on the player. It was unnecessarily impossible to spot enemies coming at you (or the walls, for that matter) when I was running at the edge of the screen.
2. The forest is dark and gloomy. And so is our main character (color-wise). That makes him very hard to see. But that might have been the point the more I think about it - after all, he is bigfoot, he should be obscured  However, having your character so obscured does not make for the most pleasant gaming experience.
3. I could not, for the life of me, find a way to escape. I found some side paths, that I thought might be a way to do it but I could running into them did nothing for me. There was just an invisible wall there.

Overall, it's a nice jam game. Needs polishing :)
