It's Alive! ...Keep it That Way by erkoply

[raw]
made by erkoply for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Keep Frankenstein's monster alive while you perform surgery on most/all of his organs. Then do it again, but faster.

A reverse Operation game.

Thumbnail2.png

Tap or click on the organs to drag them through Frankenstein's monster's body, but don't let them touch anything that hurts. You may need to grab the organ again if you bonk it.

If you can finish without losing any health, something happens :)

I used GameMaker, Aseprite, and Famitracker.

Wrong time for me to do a game like this, with a mouse that is going wonky, but I managed to do it; I think 49 51 was my time? Anyways, art is perfectly consistent and stylized. The installation of the brain was... unnerving. :) Nice work.

The art for this is AMAZING. Really love the style and mood created here, fits the theme nicely too. Simple but well executed gameplay - the buzzer sound really shocked me! Great work!

The CRT shader made the fancy text a little harder to read, but otherwise looked great and fit the style of the game perfectly. Neat concept and executed well!

I love these types of games and I love the C64! Wish there were some cool sound effects, but I see your effort was rightfully placed in making this game look amazing. Awesome work!

Awesome work! I really love the visual style you went with and the game itself is kind like virtual Operation :) Nicely done!

The art is really nice. Really gives the game a good vibe. Thought I could not get the brain through so I don't know if anything happens at the end.

I really enjoyed the concept of reverse operation! The music and art rocked, and I really felt the pressure to be cautious. I also thought the adaptation of the theme was great!

Really liked the aesthetics of the game, you must have really worked hard on this aspect. While the game is simple, it definitely fits the jam's theme. I was expecting a jump scare or something, but wasn't able to finish the game, sadly. In fact that is a good thing, i would not like a jumpscare.

Good job!

This is great. Really gave me the old school WarioWare feels.
Curious if the different paths are generated or designed.

Wonderful art and music! Overestimated my skill; it was actually quite a challenge to maneuver the organs. Great game overall and creative concept crossing operation and Frankenstein themes.

Very nice graphics, I like a lot! There should be also more audio especially music to go together with this rather relaxing gameplay. Reminds me of Britney Spears game :D Good job!

I was happy because I managed to bring a Frankstein to life!
:D
I loved the art that mimics the graphics on an old TV. It was very good. I missed music. I could have one, however simple.

Congratulations for the game!

Nice entry! Made me very nostalgic. The mood you set is really great, and I had a chuckle at the brain level. Would love to see the easter egg at one point, so I might try again later :D

The art of this game is amazing! But I think the font is a little hard to read.
