A neat little experience, if not a little long winded in the way it's told. Truth be told, if Sid wasn't so adorable I would have probably closed the program way earlier, so I guess you managed to do the most important thing.

Very charming little experience! The only thing that kind of held it back was the fact that keyboard input was only detected every now and then, making everything I had to type out extremely slow.

Man, I can never get enough of games that let me mess around with the file system. I always wonder if I missed a little easter egg somewhere...

I am afraid of giving away any spoilers for this game, as I think it's better if you go in blind, so I will keep this short.

This game is simple, short and sweet. Kinda sad and nihilistic at times, which makes sense. Creative interpretation of the theme. Graphics & audio are a fantastic fit for this game - cute and minimal. Unlike someone mentioned before, the keyboard inputs worked just fine for me. Overall -- really charming and an extremely solid entry. Feels polished and finished to me, even though I know that this game can be taken in so many different directions and have a lot more content while still being fresh and unique. And I personally would love to see more. Overall, fantastic game that will make me want to go back to it once in a while. :)

@erlioniel I'm sorry to hear that :| it's the first time we are using Monogame for a jam, the patched version is a "standalone" build so it should run even if you don't have the right .NET framework installed. Can you try again, and if it still doesn't run write to mail@simonparzer.com with some details about your system, like Windows version, error messages if any, etc.

I went into this game blind and as @sarafilipa said it is the best way to play it.

It took awhile to figure out how to start the game but once I did it set me up for what to expect. This is a wonderful game and the website for the ending is a marvelous touch.
I hope you expand upon this idea more in the future as there is so much potential behind it.

Very interesting game. The fact you have to change the name of the executable is amazing to me. Very fitting and very fun game. The game is somewhat humerous but it is more moody. I would like to see more games like this!

Man, what a cool meta game. Fumbling around in the files and seeing the character's development was mind blowing, the pixel animation was actually really fluid, the story I'll admit didn't really touch me that much but seeing how it continued made me want to keep going, and then of course the web page at the end just made it all seem very silly again. xp I think this idea of messing with the game files can still be explored further, DDLC did it already but there's a lot more stories and ideas that can be touched on with this weird mechanic.

Damn took me a while to figure out the files were part of the game lol I really liked the concept of this, I wish more games did stuff like this. I did feel like it was a bit lacking in terms of gameplay though. I was wondering if there were other things you could say besides "yes" and "no" but I didn't really try. Would be a nice easter egg. Nice job!

I really liked this experience! As other have written, it's best to go in blind. This "meta" approach is something you see sometimes in other games, but for me it's first time it's used to this extent and really it is the way that you interact with the game.

I really liked the pixel anim - would be even cooler if the starting sequence was really in the OS terminal / commandline :D

I saw that upon launch the game was pinging an outside server trough the network - would be cool to know that you're collecting data beforehand...

This game was a really nice experience. The ending was great. Making the player interact with the files was very interesting. With just how different this jam is compared to other, I think I will have it in my mind for some time (the same goes for Jack).
