A neat game, really enjoyed the look and feel of the art. Having the controls tutorial at the beginning was nice touch to!

If I had to make one recommendation It'd be to allow for rotation via keyboard, I had trouble getting the hang of the controls (a lot of it is on me, since I only used a track pad, but using A/D would be make this easier to play for people who lack a proper mouse)

Nice game dude! I like the idea you have. My only critic for you would be to make the player speed a little bit quicker so it's a little bit easier. But really cool!

Very high level of polish in all aspects. Really impressed with how complete this feels in such a short amount of time!

The controls took a little bit of getting used too, but once I got the feel for it it was pretty fun!

Great job all!

Awesome! A little confusing with the rotate with the mouse though. At one point I was shooting at an asteroid but my cannon kept rotating for longer than I wanted so it hit the planet. But other than that it was fun.

@primalshadow It has. When you pick up enough stars, you win.

The graphics and music of the game are very good, I like it, if the gameplay can be more rich and playable, it will be perfect

I got confused about how the planet cannons worked at first, until i noticed one of them had a different color. I think that cannon could have a more obvious difference in colors with the others.
Anyways, i loved the art, and it is fun to play and try to beat your own score!

This game is visual very pleasant and polished nicely. It took me a while to get used to controlling the little astronaut man, unfortunately hes bad at his job lol. The planets defenses do just fine without him, actually they are OP. This game has a lot of potential and I think the next steps are to add some kind of difficultly progression or different levels or modes that are more challenging for the player. Excellent work Space Rangers!

What a beautiful game! It's just a bit hard to control the rotation.

It was a bit hard to control the rotation, so I killed the Earth few times, but the game is lovely! Graphics and sounds are really great. I think it would be nice to add some levels to make it more difficult and fun.

Presentation and itch.io page look really polished! Game itself has great art and I like the music. I also like how all the buttons make a sound when you press them.

Delivery is outstanding. It looks beautiful and sound are great. I just wish there was more gameplay as I have finished it in a bit more than a minute.

Can be easily built upon adding a few mechanics and enemies.

Great game!

Great piece of work! Collecting stars is pretty difficult with that many asteroids! Good difficulty level. Farest I could go was to grow trees

Really fun and polished game, congrats to the whole team. I was a bit confused at first regarding what I should to do to actually achieve the win condition, but after I was told that I should collect the stars it really ramped up the challenge and, consequently, the fun

Beautiful art style. I would've loved to play it in fullscreen mode with more space around the planet to be fully immersed in the experience.

The game felt a bit easy, so I tried to play it without shooting and only collecting stars, but that didn't work. I would've actually enjoyed if it was possible to do that as a way to play the game on hard mode. :D

It is a great idea, really fun. I really like how it looks! I had a bit of trouble swapping between the cannons and the ranger, it needs to give more feedback when you swap, some icon on the UI, a sound, etc. But overall I liked it! Good job!

Graphics are really cute, the "animation" when you lose is cute and hearthbreaking. The game is a bit hard, specially if you don't understand the controls well, it took some time to figure out how the things work.

I really liked the art in this game, its a shame there wasn't much animation with it. When i first tried to fend off astroids with the person, i found the gun to have little to no affect. The rotating planet guns on the other had seemed abit overpowered.
I didnt't feel the need to go back to the person after using the 4 guns as i could just hold the LMB down and slightly scroll left and right and the astroids werent even making it onto the screen anymore as they'd already been destroyed.
I feel you may just need a little more balcne testing, otherwise i like the idea and could see it being expanded :)

@louiejams the astronaut gun it's to get the stars, to heal the planet, tha cannons destroy the asteroids and the healing stars. You win the game if the planet health go up to 100% =)

Nice game, really neat cool looking art, nice sounds, got the planet healed in 48 secs in 4th trial i guess :p

At the start I took a bit of time to understand the gameplay but after that it was easy.

Only thing is that I felt that the gameplay was a bit less, but hey its a jam game. Maybe it can be extended post jam, more features and stuff. Maybe multiple planets to manage? or a basic longer health bar, difficulty levels, various asteroid and star types  endless possibilities :p :muscle:

It is a cool little game. Amazingly polished graphics!

The controls are little bit awkward. Maybe it can be improved by experimenting with different control schemes. Try to use keyboard, it can give the game more arcade-like feel.

Very well presented simple little game. You're in space, so I understand the loose type controlling, but I would enjoy a bit more sense of grasp of my space man.

Cool and colourful entry! everything looks like ice cream and marshmallows!

I had some issues trying to figure out how to switch between the planet and the astronaut, and tough that i should save the astronaut from colliding with the meteors and firing towards the stars with the cannons would collect them the same way as the protagonist Did...
Maybe you should try to play a different VFX / SFX feedback when a star is destroyed by the cannons this way!

Some improvements from my point of view:
You could also add more background layers to add more depth to the space, like star dust layers and meteors spawning within random sorting layers to look like they are all on a more volumetric place!

there's a lack of sound effects, mainly for the character itself, maybe add some jet pack pushing the astronaut around the orbit, some oxygen loops from the space suit and an ambience that could reinforce the environment, like the reverberation and some electronic equipments "blips, blops and blups" echoing like old sci-fi movies!

I felt the controls were really hard to get used to, but the basic gameplay loop is fun overall.

Fun concept! Love the art style! The game is very polished and intuitive! The game is too easy for me because I can spin around the planet while shooting from the planet, killing the enemies almost all the time. Even when the enemies do get very close it is still easy to aim one of the cannons at the enemy and fire from point blank range. Over all Fun, polished, little game! Good job! keep it up!

I really liked the planet design. It's easy to last forever in this game by just constantly shooting. Something like a cool down, or just increasing the amount of enemies over time might help that.

But overall it's a good entry, nice job!

Nice graphics, I like the planet and the guardian.

You should add different kinds of enemies, and let the player collect different kinds of items, to improve shooter or abilities.

Good job.

Fun, simple and cute. A love experience all the way through. I'd certainly be up for playing more if there were more levels and challenges, perhaps switching between planets or something?

Beautiful art, I really liked it. The game feels polished and really well-made. Great job :)

But, if you are not in a hurry, you can win by practically doing nothing. Put the astronaut somewhere near top of the screen and the stars will gather themselves in time, no attraction cannon needed. And you can just keep holding the lmb down and move your mouse willy-nilly around - nothing will be able to even get close to you. Not that I am advertising this way of playing ;) - but it is certainly possible. And it probably shouldn't be.

Took me a bit of time to get a hold of the control, even with the tutorial. Was a bit confusing that the attraction gun and canons had the same particle sprite. Other than that, once I got it, it was great! Very nice art, crisp UI, original mechanic.

Nice idea and art style. The tutorial introduction is clean and clear. The mechanic is interesting, but perhaps a bit difficult to manage. The movements are a bit low (But after all it's an astronaut ^^) and I had difficulties with the lack of precision because there were lags on my laptop. But I could see that the gameplay is original and well in the theme, and sound design is good too. Congratulation to the team!
