This is a really cool idea! I hope it doesn't get abused too much. There's a spelling mistake, it says "what happend" instead of "what happens".

Thanks !

There is some "protections" against abuses but not that much honestly, it's very permissive i want to see how it goes.

And yeah, for the "what happend" i blame my broken english <3

Wait a second is this actually recorded over the internet? That's one high-end concept 0.o
I ended up playing skyrim for a while.

It is indeed : There is an entire server part that store all the choices and consequences added by others :D

Fantastic! I will be checking back to see what stories people add to the game.

One note: I feel like you could have stated the instructions more clearly when you ask people to enter new stuff. The first thing you enter is the choice you see on the current screen, and afterwards there should be a "reaction" of the game to what happened. Right now the game contains some strange stuff, like "I walk left, to the haunted forest". Then I would expect something like "I enter the depths of the forest. Strange sounds surround me." but instead the game gives me "I take a nap.", which should be a next possible action, not what is given to me from the game.

Other than that: This is such a great idea. Actually start with nothing as a game and then let the community, the players, build the game themselves. This is a really awesome narrative game concept, I can't even believe it. It could become so much! But I worry a bit about what people enter into the system. Let's hope it goes well! I will be checking back later, when there's hopefully more to it.

Edit: I also really enjoy that you added the possibility to add pictures, even though there is of course the danger of abuse. But the way you then also filter the pictures to fit into this "console" theme, is just really great.

This is pretty incredible. I had a tab opened where you talked about it just so I could come back once it was done, and it does not disappoint. Amazing job!

@apace thanks for you comment !
I came with multiple iterations of the choice system and still i'm not happy with the current one (for the reasons you said).

I tried to add some helpers (like the I ...) when you enter a choice or forcing a "You $eventName" but it felt too restrictive so i scrapped some stuff.

As you said ,peoples can abuse the system , but hey, we are here between smart and mature peoples, right ? :D

This is a great game. Do all the players have access to all the choices or do you do a random pull out of everything that has been entered so far? It's really brilliant. It's making me want to share it with friends, and create a story together.

Easily one of the more innovative entries, I didn't personally have much fun with it(There are not many choices right now) BUT the point is that it gets more fun over time. I'm going to come back after judging and rating is over and see what the game ends up like.

Really intriguing and inventive. I didn't get what was happening at first and ended up writing a dumb sequence. I suppose that's really my fault since it does say 'you decide'.

I think it would've been cool to ask players for a username at the start and then sign all their stories accordingly.

I felt that the images should've faded in faster.

@snowdrama Thanks, yeah some path are very "short" wich , i agree, reduce the fun and others are unexpectedly long (Skyrim => wait...)

@cyriaque Not saying it's a bad game either! Just that I think more people need to play it to get more responses and paths in. I posted it in my discord to get some of them to play.

Nice concept and execution. The main problem it needs a lot players to generate more content. I would probably fake it and wrote more base texts at the beginning. Still it would be cool if you try to spread it after Ludum Dare, maybe on Reddit or some facebook groups, just to see what others might came up with it.

Dude that's brillant!

I agree with some other comments: throw this on reddit or on facebook it's gonna be a ton of fun.

Then you could add shortcuts to go faster to some point of the story :)

Also you could create the ability to end a branch after some points (say, 10 branches without end) and never have the 3 possibilites be an end.

Also, if you go full on that way, it could be cool to have accounts so we can make changes to choices we created (escpecially to solve first try issues)

It's still a bit thin. I added a bit of dialog to a dwarf, but I'm not up for an epic effort today.

The idea is just great, so original! It would be nice if more people saw this game. There're some technical problems (pictures cover the text, but its styling is just amazing!), but text game filling works well (as I can tell). I'm sure this little thing could be developed into a big project.

Interesting but I didn't saw the goal of the game. I was adding entries and the game kept looping. Is there an ending? I liked the mood!

@jonathan-lorenz Nope there is no ending you keep going into the story until it's your turn

I had some idea for this problem but didn't had enough time sadly
