I skipped the tutorial cause I hate long tutorials, and at first I thought this was going to be hell to understand what is going on, but it's actually really intuitive to understand!! It also really sums up an indie game developper's life in a really fun and cute way :D
Seriously though very nice graphics and aesthetic, which would be comfy were it not for what kind of simulation it is being used for.
Once you get used to the controls it's kinda entertaining, multitasking stuff all the time. I'd say it's lacking entertainment or more robust rewards for getting good hype.
Also no idea why it had to be gondolas but that's pretty funny.
In fact many of the details are at least somewhat funny, good job with all of those.
@le-slo thank you for your comment! we're happy that you enjoed it <3 we patched the game and uploaded the better one! it turned out that medium mode was harder than hard mode (lol) so we fixed that, you should be able to get a happy cat this time! also remember to kill the bugs, they are pretty important for the final score...
@730 thank you for your honest opinion and glad to hear that it was fun to you! we did the first patch (mostly bug fixing) but some more C-O-O-L-N-E-S-S when you have a high hype is a neat idea! we'll add it in next patch, thank you so much!
An excellent entry!
The gameplay itself is hilarious, I was immedaitely overwhelemed and anxious, but a mixture of the cute art and calming music kept me playing. :D
My only feedback (and I mean it, because as far as game jam's go this is pretty perfect) is that the end of the game didn't really give me any feedback on how well I did. The cat was sad, but I wasn't sure why, or if it actually had anything to do with my performance.
Overall though amazing job, I hope to see more from this team in the future. :D
Art is gorgeous. UX could use some tweaking. At first I wasn't sure what I could press and what was just a background.
Pozdrawiam!
Do you people consider to create real operating system with this theme?
Great job! Best wishes!
and haha, glad you liked the e-mails, we wanted to make them cute and positive...because who likes letter of complaints?
thank you and stay safe <3
thanks and stay safe!
stay safe!
również pozdrawiamy i życzymy growych sukcesów!
stay safe! <3
and here's a proof it's win-able, I didn't get max stars but still a happy cat :D
stay safe and keep up being awesome!

This was stressful but I got the hang of it pretty quickly.
 for an in game tutorial :)
I love the art style, although the color tone makes it a little hard to see everything.
Seems well thought out, and I like how much content you were able to get in there in a weekend.
Nice job!
Overall, though, a cool idea and really nice execution. It'd be interesting to see the minigames change over time, too!
I really liked the cohesiveness of the art and it is a fantastic use of the theme!
Really cool fonts, what did you use?
It really captures the anxiety of social media promotion.
@arden thank you! the color palette was an artistic choice and it's matching some of the popular "cute" artists on IG. We tested it on my friend with deuteranomaly (greetings Kano, if you're reading it! xD) and he told us that se sees everything fine. Tho I understand that some of the buttons may not seem visible enough.
Soo enough of my rambling - could you let us know which specific parts were not clear enough for you? We're planning an update but we need to know what exactly to fix. thank you so much and stay safe!
@ddrkirbyisq congrats on 5 stars! it was quite challenging to get the highest score owo and thank you!
thank you for your comments, we'll try to enchance some contrast in the next update. if we ever get funds or something to make it a real game, changing the minigames is a genius concept for sure (and a version to play on a two screens LOL xD) thank you so much and stay safe!
Well done!!
All in all, awesome game :)
Great job overall, I loved this!
Thank you so much for dreaming our *hype dream* <3 stay safe guys!
@nosfer Thank you! <3 The tutorial was shorter but people who tested it requested some more stuff explained so we delivered ^^'
@henrycgs We wanted to make the windows move-able but it was not possible technically in Game Maker (or at least our programmer didn't knw how to do it quickly during the jam xD) But in case we get famous and we do a full game or something, we'll use this great feature for sure! Thank you <3
@lyrcaxis thank you! and cograttos on trying the hard mode, it doesn't seem to be a popular choice xD
The graphics were really cute and good. If i had to suggest a change, it would be to make the text stand out more. I felt like it fit together with the rest of the art *too well*, which is a problem with text as you want a contrast so it is more easily read.
Sound design was also on point, together with the graphics it created a very calming atmosphere that drew me in.
This game is so damn good in every aspect that i feel like i have to point out it's weakest part.
The connection to the theme.
And that is definetly not a problem with the game, it certainly didn't make it any less enjoyable, but I am supposed to rate it so i might as well explain.
I like the idea of keeping hype alive. But i don't think that the implementation of it is worth a 5-star in theme. That's because, to me, keeping something alive means that It's a constant struggle to keep it from dying, a constant struggle to give it one more breath.
I feel like the hype-meter kind of alienated the life part of keeping something alive.
I find it really hard to express my thoughts, but my suggestion would be to have some ui-thing where the player can see a crowd. And as long as there are people in that crowd, the hype is alive. But then some of them start to leave when the hype is falling of. But you know, that as long as you keep at least ONE person in the crowd, the hype is alive.
That would enable the player to connect more with the game, to constantly struggle to keep that last fan from leaving.
**I don't know if that made any sense**, I am tired and will go to sleep now.
Awesome game though!
@jenny-bourke @magus24 thank you for dreaming our *hype dream* <3
@invixel Thank you for in-depth comment! We're happy that you enjoyed it <3 As for the keeping the hype alive, there is actually a crowd-thing in-game (The Wobbler, "Twitch") in the bottom right corner where you can see your fans reaction to your game development.
However, I understand what you're talking about and I agree that a crowd (or maybe just a viewer's count that cannot drop to 0?) and the animal vievers leaving in case the hype gets really low would be a great improvement and a better way to implement the theme. Thank you so much for this comment, it was definitely eye-opening for me! So no worries, you did good, you stated the problem clearly and it makes sense. Goodnight uwu
Good stuff! Nice idea! Perfectly executed!
