My biggest complaint is it's unfair slide over time lol. It'll accelerate too quickly the other direction and never give me time to build back. \nEven when I place blocks evenly in both directions though, it still has a bias to one side, which gives me reason to believe different coloured blocks have different weights. That's definitely a cool idea. If I'd know what colour comes next (like tetris), as well as learn the colours and weights, I could more plan how I place the blocks. \nI keep trying to beat your highscore of 61 in the video but I can't even get past 50  ![BlockRockinHighscore.JPG](\/\/\/raw\/0fb\/8\/z\/28a2f.jpg)","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Iori Branford","author_uid":"1101265","time":"2019-10-08T06:55:54Z","epoch":1570517754,"modified":1570519471,"text":"@itsdanidre Thanks for playing. Actually the weight of a block is the time it was placed, a simple way to raise the difficulty over time. The colors make no difference. I thought about blocks with different effects but I lost most of my jam hours to job and family before I could start on anything past the basics.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Greon","author_uid":"1140718","time":"2019-10-08T07:51:08Z","epoch":1570521068,"modified":1570521068,"text":"Oh, that`s an quite simple game, but it got me playing for more time than i would like do admit, it`s harder than expected, only thing it`s: Hey, doesn't you start with one thing? The design of the sliding rewarded me for thinking about the problem and planning my build pattern to get better scores. My best score is 67.\n\nWhat really surprised me about the game is how much it held up to an autoclicker. It is a different game, but still quite fun, and by no means easy. The UI seems to have some sort of delay or hitbox jankyness that caused the blocks to always slip from my grasp. My best autoclicker score is 142.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"mapleglaze","author_uid":"1144068","time":"2019-10-09T07:45:00Z","epoch":1570607100,"modified":1570607100,"text":"This is a pretty novel concept for a game. It appears from experimentation that the game has a limit on letting you place blocks beyond a certain dimension or speed? I wasn't able to tell, but after see-sawing for a couple of times, around the 67th block or so, the game didn't let me place the blocks horizontally again, which I guess is an interesting way to kill an exploit after a while.\n\nIt would have been nice to see a few bits of extras to add some complexity to the gameplay, perhaps a different level layout with unusual hole placement. As it is, I thought the game was easily exploitable given its simplicity.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Mec","author_uid":"1172171","time":"2019-10-25T16:13:36Z","epoch":1572020016,"modified":1572020016,"text":"simple effective concept. not sure if i understood all the mechanics. did the different colors mean anything?","likes":1,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld45\/171998-8d763d6405dfe495d3f9ef0778eb72c3.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/IoriBranford\/groblox","text":"Youtube"},{"url":"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/IoriBranford\/groblox\/-\/jobs\/314217211\/artifacts\/download","text":"Youtube"},{"url":"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/IoriBranford\/groblox\/-\/jobs\/314217212\/artifacts\/download","text":"Youtube"},{"url":"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/IoriBranford\/groblox\/-\/jobs\/314217210\/artifacts\/download","text":"Youtube"},{"url":"https:\/\/ioribranford.gitlab.io\/groblox\/","text":"Youtube"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"61042","g_author":"1101265","g_event":"LD45","g_eventkey":"78","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"273928","g_title":"BlockRockin'","g_status":"PVT1","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"7","g_site2_node_id":"171998","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"171998","n_urlkey":"273928","n_parent":"159347","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/45\/blockrockin","n_slug":"blockrockin","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"101265","n_created":"1570423786","n_modified":"1570522795","n_version":"521806","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":171998,"parent":159347,"superparent":9,"author":101265,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2019-10-07T21:56:49Z","created":"2019-10-07T04:49:46Z","modified":"2019-10-08T08:19:55Z","version":521806,"slug":"blockrockin","name":"BlockRockin'","body":"Block growing and balancing game.\n\nClick around your block cluster to grow it.
