Controlled nicely and was able to feed the pig. No bacon at the end.

Plays pretty smooth, but as a suggestion: it would've been cool if there was a running animation of some sorts, the idle animation could be sped up when running.
Also, nice little warning when the player walks out of the screen, love these kind of little details :)

Its the first 1 bit game I have seen so far, props for that!

Would be nice to have an enemy of some sort, perhaps they could steal apples.

Loved making my tiny pig a fatso. Just one critique, I'd recommend giving it some sort of challenge. Even something as simple as making the fruit disappear after x amount of time. Even so, was fun to play. Good job.

I liked how the pig grows, but didn't manage to get to the end. It stopped growing at some point. Interesting, what was the planned ending for the game considering the jam theme. Overall nice minimalistic art, but the game feels unfinished.

the game lacks a goal to reach ... the controls were decent also needed some audio

@bereg The plan was for the pig to become a nice christmas dinner at the end.

can the pig actually die? Maybe you could have added an HP bar that goes down and you have to feed to pig quickly enough to restore some of its health to keep it alive

Cool idea, but it's a shame the game can't indicate that you've reached the end of it's content - I had to check the source code to see whether I'd finished the game or not!

I like the fact that it changes when you feed it. Gives me tamagotchi vibes in a way. Could use an ending.

I love your art. Too bad I needed to wait for apples to respawn by the end. It killed the momentum! Anyway, great job. Simple but significant.

It's funny to feed him and seeing him grow ! The spawns could be faster though. Something that could also be interesting would be to make him very huge, you have a lot of screen space to do that. I didn't try but does he die if you don't feed him ?

@julienlussiez @likirus No, the pig can't die. I didn't have time to put in the slaughtering or some enemies, but they were planned!

I strangely like the "Please don't leave the game" message.

There is no challenge, there is nothing trying to stop me from achieving my goal. What even is my goal?

Great use of the 1-bit art!
I was expecting a twist at the end, like the pig becoming some sort of demon that ends up eating you.
Controls are really responsive.

Not much to it, kinda fun seeing the pig change forms. Also, hey, I will leave the game area if I want!

Fun to see the changing pig sprites. I like pixel art that stays at the same scale, and moves in discrete chunks, so I would change how the player and pig moved, and how the apples above the player were drawn, but that is just my own taste. I wish I got to see the pig become a dinner.
