Infinite Space Delivery by gwaiLoFi

[raw]
made by gwaiLoFi for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

Stuck in an in infinite loop in the space delivery job that never ends...

Pick up a package from Uranus and try to deliver it to Neptune...

Note: The ship's gun is useless :P Learned how to instantiate bullets then ran out of time...

Everything created from scratch except for the dialogue boxes, which were derived from Mister Taft's Zeldalike 2D UI.

Special thanks to RokkaBilly for code guidance!

I relly enjoy the art. It is a fun concept I uat wish i could restart instead of closing. I also think navigating would be easier with the mouse.

It was a super cool game. The only thing I would suggest is to add sound, I am not sure if there is just a problem with my computer not making sound though.

@funemaker Hmm, there should be a background song and a sound on explosion, might be a bug with that build. What platform are you on? Thank you for the feedback!

@gzzmike Thank you for the feedback! You can restart by hitting spacebar after dying, I think I failed to add that instruction...

@funemaker Added a link to a WebGL version, music should play there :) I can't debug Windows at the moment as my Win machine has died...

Not too sure what I was meant to be doing, some more instruction would be nice. the controls felt a little clunky and the guns felt useless. Although, the art was good and stylised.

I like the art you made! Although I fel like it was a bit unclear on what I was supposed to do. Also some tighter controls would have been nice, but nice little game

The presentation is brilliant, and it's a very pleasing game on the eyes.

Fun little game, good job! I managed to find George despite the plain "up there" description that sounds carelessly relative for a spaceship :p

Great to see fellow brazilians in here :)
I really liked the concept - it's really funny! Cool pixel art. Too bad we don't get to kill the darned aliens.
Gratz on delivering on time!

@gwailofi has anyone ever told you you have an amazing username?

Well this game certainly follows the theme! I've ordered food delivery before with botched orders, so I can related to the premise.

I'm kinda glad the UFOs aren't particularly dangerous, it can feel painful to get kinda far and then die, so I didn't have to worry about that. Though it sounds like you intended to add more obstacles and possibly stronger AI lol.

For a first game, I can't fault you much. It looks like you scrambled a new team together to do this as well. Hope you guys keep it up!

I think this a solid game for a beginner, I have no idea if there is actually infinite deliveries because I gave up on the 8th attempt. The controls were a bit clunky to be honest and I think it would be better to be able to see what is in front of you, an easy way to do this is through cinemachine for unity.
