It would be great to add some dynamic or speed up the game overall, it's quite annoying to waiting when the ship come to it's starting point on the orbit.
Also, the ship changed it's direction of rotation several times. Which sometimes pushes you to fly back to the previous planet.
Anyway, nice entry! Good job, guys!
It's nice to have a little story and introduction as it's not very common in jam games, and there is a nice bit of humor in the dialogues !
The background music is great and does not feel repetitive.
I really liked your game, it was very original !
I felt like its a little too slow for my tastes, but otherwise, it's great!
Nice job!
The story bits are extensive and very well done, but it feels a bit separated from the main game. It might be fun if you had some dialog choices during the story, perhaps also affecting the levels a bit (Maybe you would get to play different levels depending on your choices - of course this would mean designing more levels so I can understand this is a tall ask)
I like the orbit mechanic, it's especially fun to bounce off the black & white holes.
The gameplay was neat - it just sometimes felt a bit random and having a checkpoint at every planet as well as no visible death count didn't encourage me to get better, but just made me try over and over until I made it by luck.
I liked the gameplay mechanic, it fit the theme well, and the Visual Novel esque story tying it together is a really nice touch.
I loved the music too!
Music is really nice. Gives a good meditative tone to the main gameplay, so maybe it's fitting that the ship is slow. Strand-type worthy.
The take on pacing is interesting: visual novels are usually slow and I'd expect the main gameplay to be the faster part, but with that music and tone it's the other way around! Just that the scenery is pretty static in dialogues - more motion, more emotions, more sound effects to fit! Also, I suggest you look up Kinetic Typography!
Main gameplay though? Some planets are off-screen, sometimes I didn't know where to go.
Overall, I didn't feel like I had enough control - moons have roughly the player's speed so I had to wait...
I found a few shortcuts as well, I don't know if they were intentional, but that was gratifying.
The rocks have a bigger collision than expected sometimes though. I was aiming correctly by got busted by an invisible collision at times.
Anyway, very nice game. Well done.
Cheers
