Save the Kindgom! A Knight, a Prince and a Monster by Diego MG

Notes: This is my first game jam ever and I worked solo on this game. Multitasking between this and taking care of my grandparents and work was a pretty hard task on itself, but I still feel very proud of the end product. It works, got all those bugs fixed, maybe left out my main idea but it's also the first game I ever publish/finish, so that's already a win. Made almost all the assets myself (except for font and music), and, even if they look pretty simple, it took quite a long time for me to make and then make them fit inside the game. This was a pretty cool experience, and I do hope at least one person enjoys playing it as much as I did making it.
"Save the Kingdom! A Knight, a Prince and a Monster" is a turn-based battle in which you must kill the giant slime, Magrait Bonnbaisse, before he kills either you or the prince. As the game progresses, your damage will increase a bit, and the boss' too.
The boss will attack on random intervals, even deal critical damage if you're not careful enough. But, don't worry! You have a set of potions that will either heal you or the prince
ACTIONS:
Attack = Deal damage to the monster Special = Heal yourself and, if possible, heal the prince as well. Costs 10 mana. Talk = Interact with the enemy. Items = Use an HP or Mana Potion, or boost your next attack. Do Nothing = Skip a game turn.
UPDATE: If you get to beat the boss send me a screenshot at my twitter if you want, I'll be making an Achievement Badge for anyone who wants one (better looking than the game graphics, I'll try my best!)

> Boss: GRROAAARRR!
Great graphics, simple gameplay but actually hard battle.
Good pick of complimentary assets that you didn't make yourself.
My only ocmplaints would be that the mana text is a little bit smaller than what I would have wanted.
Great entry! I hope this is not your last game jam!
Good game, I love to see first games of people. It's always a very special feel.
One point of criticism about the game (pretty detailed, though): the order of knight and prince is just flipped in the item menu, which is quite irritating. Might be a good idea to have their names ordered the same in item menu + battle hud
It might also be a good idea to move the first paragraph of your LD page downwards a bit. Do not start with apologizing but with what your game is about and what makes people want to play it :)
Anyway, keep up the good work and thanks for making that game
