Bertram the Brute receives his next mission: Escort billionaire's kid Whiny Walter through robot mutant territory.

Good thing Bertram is a cyborg that can't be hurt by anything. He is bullet- fire- and anvil-resistant. His only weakness is he can't jump. A slight oversight by his programmers. Who needs jumping when you're armed with your trusty arm blaster and a grappling hook?

Walter on the other hand, is a burden to have around. Literally. He doesn't even want to move by himself. But he has to be kept alive.

Controls:

WASD/Arrows: Move

Mouse: Aim

LMB: Fire arm blaster

RMB: Use grappling hook

Shift: Pick up/drop Walter

The grappling hook mechanic works really well. The minimalist art and sound direction fitted the game very well so overall very well done!

That was surprisingly effective! The hook made for some good puzzles. I actually like the simple style. Like Thomas was alone in 3d hehe. You could keep the visuals simple and just add some more effects/music/mechanics and you would have something pretty solid!

Great concept! I would have loved to see more levels like the final one that took more advantage of the grappling hook, but I know with a jam you've only got so much time, and what you have here is well-executed. Nice job!

That grappling hook was very cool! I am even amazed how you implemented the enemies following the Walter.

Apart from some visual glitches (at least on the site version), very cool entry!

I've played a lot of games like this in the jam already but this one is by far the one that was executed the best. The shooting was responsive and satisfying and the little puzzles were really fun to play!
Hope you reach 20 reviews before the deadline!

Found it a little to easy (but hey that means I could play thru it all unlike some other entries)

Puzzles where good and there where two things surprised me. (fast enemies and crisscross door opening)
The music is going in the right direction, but it loops too often (guess you where short on time like I was)
Really liked the heavy gunfire sound.

Pretty good basics. It would have been nice to see some more mechanics or more complex puzzles. I played it through without picking up Walter. Maybe there could have been something that required it. The level that introduced the chasing enemies seemed a bit unfair. I left Walter at the door and went to open it, thinking there's nothing that reacts too fast. Fortunately the AI was too stupid to actually reach Walter. Nice use of simple graphics, good stuff :D

The gun firing sfx is really meaty and fulfilling.

I feel like the audio could have used a bit of work and the graphics could have been slightly better, but other than that I enjoyed the game play and the simple mechanics worked well for what you were going for. Overall, nice job!
