You are a solo monster mother waiting for her newborn's egg to break. A newborn monster is very weak and easy loot for hunters. You need to keep your baby alive for 10 days. Then it will be grown up and can survive on its own. You need to take care of your baby in order to survive:

Protect it: During the day, hunters will come for you and your baby. Fight them with your pink slime balls and collect food or traps from them to survive and protect your baby.

Feed it: Once broken out of its egg your baby needs food or it will die. Search the area for food or grab it from dead hunters.

Keep it warm: Nights are cold in the forest. Collect logs to make a cosy and warm campfire during the night.

Use WASD to move and collect items and LEFT MOUSE to shoot, use and place items.

Love the art style and sound effects. :) The game is tough! I had a hard time collecting anything after the egg hatched because I never knew when enemies would appear.

It's great! you managed to give it great urgency-vibe and it doesn't become tedious. Maybe you can have multiple monsters to take care of as the game progresses? With some unique requirements, it'll become management hell but it may be fun! just an idea.

Nice art style but there should have been some more new enemies in the later days

Gameplay was a bit slugging but lots of fun. I think it would add a lot if you could tighten up the controls a bit more, and add more enemies. Otherwise great game. Keep up the good work!

Good game! It all worked well and the visuals were charming. Maybe 10 nights was a little too long, but overall I really liked it.

The graphics were really cute - I liked them a lot. The controls felt nice a fluid too - the little text that told you what you were doing was helpful (though I didn't catch on to all the actions until my second attempt - my first ended in tragedy). The traps seemed a bit overpowered, though - once I got to 5 of them, it was mostly a matter of waiting to win.

This parenting stuff is really hard work! I think I need to hire a babysitter. Preferrably someone equipped with a machine gun so they can take care of the pesky raiders while I relax and read a nice book.

You packed a lot of game into a 48 hour development time span! I like the balance needed between gathering stuff, feeding your needy monster baby and fending off baddies. There was always something to keep me occupied, but, I always had to worry about what was happening to my kid when I wasn't around. Nice work!

Good work building a game with mix of defense and gathering.

Oh, it's a great game! I really like the feeling of protecting something somewhat questionable) The overall pace could be a little faster, but I understand that it's most certainly subjective. Cool, congratulations!

Made it to day 5. I couldn't find any more food. :slight_frown: The mechanics fit the theme really well, the art/animations were nice, just wish there was music. In terms of feel, I think the 'bullet' could be bigger & faster, and there could be more obvious hit & death effects. Nice game overall.
