The game is trying to be a mixture of Katamari Damacy and Risk of Rain.

HOW TO PLAY: WASD to move, touch things to oozify them into you. As the timer goes up, the difficulty also increases (every 20 seconds!). Watch out for people with guns whom will shoot at your and get increasingly numerous. Each spawn group of enemies will follow one leader, consume their leader and it's followers will drop their guns and are much easier to assimilate. Had a lot of fun making this, although I didn't have time to add any sounds yet again! Hope you find it interesting.4OQ9-h.gif

@maxdmg any chance of a Mac or Web version? Game seems interesting and I would like to try it, but only have a Mac or web browser I can play on.

Fun, fast paced game. Though in Wine on Linux, it runs slowly, but it does run pretty snappy on Windows. There's also an interesting bug where bullets get stuck in the fences at the boundaries of the map that can still hurt you if you touch them. Kind of fun. Audio is a category that can be voted for, but the game appears to not have audio so I did not vote in the Audio category. Good job.

@burnedkirby whoops thanks for that catch totally did not add any sound effects, blood and ooze gore took up too much time haha. Glad you enjoyed it also that bullets bug was totally the result of me adding boundaries at the last second lmao.

Really fun! It does feel like Katamari meets Risk of Rain! It was very satisfying to consume stuff, I wish we got to leave that little area and run through a full town, that would be a BLAST! Maybe consider continuing it after the competition? Could be a fun phone game! I also was a big fan of the sprite and art style as a whole.

I wish my score showed at the end so I could upload it as a picture here! Also hit a bug where sometimes when I was a huge blob, the guys I consumed at the edge of the screen would not fully animate so I ended up with standing people just stuck to the end of me.

At first I was like ""What is my purpose?", then I found out quickly, "To consume ALL LIFEFORMS".

Very satisfying to merge objects and enemies into this morbid green slime thing. You could possibly add to the gameplay by having something like arms to reach out grab enemies from a distance or maybe upgrades to improve your characters sped.

Overall, had a fun time playing this one. Cheers!

This is great! It's straightforward and super compelling. I love how your body maintains the structure of everything you've absorbed, and how the skeletons stay inside you - it feels a lot better than just being a steadily growing ball. Made it all the way to "Impossible" before they finally broke me down. Great work.

Feels good, nice and silly. I wish the level was bigger. More feedback on health, or whatever it is that causes me to lose would be nice. Maybe it's getting shot in my original blob? Wasn't clear. I like it though, nice work.

I really like that you can create your own ooze by selecting how you absorb things and that you lose all the ooze that isn't connected to you after a shot.

Great idea for a game! I thought the mechanics were very fleshed out and I thought the ray casts that the enemies had were a neat touch. I thought that the only thing this game was missing were sound effects but apart from that an amazing game considering that this was comp :D.

very smooth animations and very original idea. I would say it is like Katamari in reverse or Katamari with something else, then I read the description and noticed you already found a more proper definition for it.

I like the concept of adding stuff to the core object, to get endurance and points. Good at innovation, fun and theme.

Fun start for a game! Would be great with some sound effects and a bigger area. Maybe the core blob could have a darker shade of green, so it's easier to avoid bullets.
