Chrono Killer by DragonZBW

[raw]
made by DragonZBW for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

After being trapped in a facility and being experimented on for months, you are ready to make a break for it. Blast through guards, trap them in time loops, lure them into each other's fire... get creative.

Note that the Web version of the game does not have shadows or post processing effects for performance reasons. Please download one of the downloadable executables to get these effects, and please take that into consideration if you are rating the game.

This is a fun little sandbox. An in-game tutorial would be nice. I like the audio and the rewind effects a lot. Good work here.

A lot of really cool concepts with this one, and feels great to play! The only issue I had was that there didn't seem to be much incentive to use the time rewind feature, though it worked pretty well. It was also pretty easy to just run around the enemies and spam melee. Again though, generally it was really well executed with great graphics and audio as well!

Fun game, though it gets boring kind of quick, and the controls menu is too much text.

Love the concept, game plays nicely. Sadly it is too short.

It's soooo satistying to hit withthe time orb, get in melee range and throw the combos. The feeling is awesome, you really nailed it.

WOW!!
LOVED this game!
Really kept me entertained for the best part of 20 minutes!!
Love the concept, love the graphics, love the gameplay!

If I had to change anything (which is not necessary because the game is awesome as it was), it would probably be more levels because I just want more of it.

Awesome job man!

Super impressive to make a 3D game in this amount of time ! It looks very cool, but I have to say, I’m French and it’s almost impossible to play with the WASD controls. Obviously we can’t have the time to implement different control options but a part from that it’s very cool, congratulations !

Really good execution on the time loop mechanic, It was really satisfying to get one of the enemies to commit friendly fire.

I played the web version and it hit me with an out of memory error after a couple of restarts though.

Great game!

Alright, but extremely difficult
The players movement feels a bit too slow for my taste, and enemy aim felt a bit inconsistent, sometimes they would snap on and delete you, other times they take ages to line up a shot, which makes it a bit harder to line up the kills. Potentially some kind of visible charge meter on their attack could help you time it? I'm not sure

Really cool concept and great graphics, solid game, I just wish it had a touch more polish and it'd be amazing. Great job!

I think this game is pretty fun! Using your ranged attacks to get into melee range for a kill is really satisfying to me. However, I think that the M2 is drastically underpowered compared to the M1, especially since the M1 fully reloads on a kill. Other than that, nice game!

This was straight up the coolest game I've played tonight. The mechanics are amazing and everything feels so deliberate. The slow melee combines with the loop in order to make good loops important for safe melee.

I also got a dude to deathloop, and that was fuckin' sick.

This can be its own game.
