Can You Escape? by Piers

[raw]
made by Piers for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

The game is like an escape room but every time you get out, the next room is exactly the same as the first but with a different puzzle to solve. Cane you escape the loop and get out?

I would've loved to make it more pretty and added more levels and some actual puzzles but I still think I'm happy with this as it's my first jam :) There was still so much I'd have loved to add to it and my favourite part of the game by far is the music so hopefully you enjoy that if nothing else XD

It's still been a blast making this and participating in this jam and I'm already looking forward to the next one where I can hopefully make something a little more complete. Now it's time for a beer :)))

@piers Yup, works fine now! Nice game, albeit the puzzles became a bit confusing at times. :)

@uglyswedishfish Yeah I totally get that there's not much indication on what to. Thanks for playing and giving feedback!

I really liked the concept, but the execution needs a lot of work.
The gameplay experience is harmed by a lot of small details: music volume too high (I put it on minimum and it was still too loud), mouse sensitivity waaaay too high, movement speed too high.
The puzzles were pretty cool, but since most objects in the scene aren't really identifiable (they're just cubes or spheres, I understand you didn't have time to create models for everything), there should be something that indicates what can be interacted with.
I think your game really only needs a few things to be really good. It's impressive for a first jam!

I think the game was pretty good, the concept was really enjoyable, and a good take on the theme! The puzzles were quite enjoyable. I do think that interactable objects needed to be a little bit more indicated, by over all, this is a great entry!

Nice! The music was awesome, and the graphics were great too! I also liked that you provided a way to exit the game. There are a lot of LD games that require you to manually close the application, so it's a nice touch. The movement also felt pretty smooth, although the sensitivity for looking around took getting used to. Overall though, great game. Well done!
