Good horror 2D game. But in my opinion ghost looks like a funny child.

Nice horror game! It's the same concept (and name) as mine, so can't do anything other than love it

I was a little scared the first time I heard the ghost and quickly went under the bench!

I like the horror vibe from this game! I think the audio could have used some work, but otherwise I thought it was pretty cool!

Really like this, what a fantastic first Jam entry. It's clever, spooky and fully understandable. My favourite I've played so far.

Graphics were really good and the mood was really on point. Just really needed some pressuring music! But LD's are how they are but even without a music it was still a really nicely put up game and as a horror game/movie hater I was panicking a lot 8) You were able to polish the game pretty nicely, which is always wonderful to see in Ludum Dares! Good job guys :)

Holy horror, nailed it with the mood/art/music. Was a very atmospheric experience. Awesome awesome job for a first jam. You should definitely expand on this game post-jam!

Very nice pixel art graphics and animations ! I liked the mood of your game.

Horror is a hard thing to nail in jam games, but I think you nailed it. The sound is good, the atmosphere is dark and mysterious. The graphics are amazing! How did you do the hazy effect over the camera? It looks very good, reminiscent of Silent Hill for sure. Good job with this, it's especially good for your first ever game jam! Very impressive.

Great first jam game! That's a really impressive achievement for your first, so massive congrats there!

And as for making a horror game in a jam, yeah, that's not an easy feat either (coming from experience, the only good horror game I've made in a jam still took me a week!), so good job for attempting it and sticking the landing!

The binaural audio for detecting the ghost was a great touch, the art was brilliant, and honestly the player felt surprisingly good to just walk around with!

Would love to see it taken further!

Phew, this was really intense. The bumping sound was freaking me out, lol. Very nice environment and the lighting effects are great. It's a bit difficult to figure out where to go and what to do next, but otherwise well done!

Really nice entry team. I just suggest I guess to be more oppressive to suggest the ghost instead of sprite it (like light, falling obejct, etc...). It'll improve the ambiance. Keep it up !

Nice game! I mentioned it on the itch.io page, but I really liked the pixel graphics. The audio you had was nice, although it would be neat if there was some sort of reaction noise when the ghost gets you, like a scream or something. But the sound effect for the door and footsteps were perfect! I don't know what the scariness meter is for, although I still made sure to keep it down by hiding every once in a while. A movement restriction would have also been nice for the ghost, as it kept floating up through the floor to get me (unless it was a glitch due to me playing the web version ... ?) Nevertheless, overall the game was challenging and had a nice concept. Well done!

@eoshadows Thank you so much for the feedback!

the ghost is meant to phase through walls, but he can't get you if you are in the generator light.
The scariness meter makes the ghost rush at you directly across the map if full.
