i didnt really enjoy that second jump, felt a bit wierd. other then that the game was pretty neat, i really enjoyed the music.

I think you nailed it with the jump mechanic. Felt just right and not frustrating. Also, good progression - introducing the controls gradually over time. Well done!

This is really well made with the areas unlocking as time you gain more abilities/powers. It felt bad jumping blindly into the enemies as you couldn't see them before it was too late and I think the game crashed when I died. Overall really enjoyable, with more polish it would be really good.

Good game. Yeah, a map would have been nice, I did get a little lost after a while with all the secret passageways. All around it was well done for fitting in a compo.

I liked having to explore to find the upgrades, got a little lost.

The death noise is so loud! It made me jump!

Please respect the rules of the Ludum Dare. If you did not make the music yourself, you cannot compete in the Compo category.

Other than that, it is a very nice game, quite polished already and very addictive. I did not yet manage to finish it (only got to the charge gun upgrade) but I really enjoyed it!

Nice game, the level design really shines here. I'm not a huge fan of this game style but your game manage to balance upgrades and maze very nicely. I didn't feel lost nor unchallenged.

Nice graphics, controls feels "correct", overall your game looks complete.

My only complain is the hard reset timer inserted into gameplay to fit theme. Maybe you could aboard theme in another way? But I'm aware that this is never easy.

Overall good job!

@dan-whiffing For the jam you can do that, take some free music from somewhere and remove the audio category, but not for the compo :)
