Description

Try to break; the while(true) loop in this small, but quite fun puzzle game! The tiles are your best friends here. Use your friends to your advantage in order to complete the levels and finish the game! And with an built-in level editor, the possibilities are endless! Build and share your own levels to challenge your real friends with!

And remember: Think i+1 steps ahead.

Sharing the levels

The levels are saved as .tscn files (godot scene file). The other person has to download your file in order to play it. NOTE: to save and load files, you have to press OK at the dialog screen, otherwise nothing will happen.

Join our Discord server to challenge the devs themselves!

Bugfixes

  • Fixed fill and move removing the spawn tile in the editor, causing the level to be unplayable
  • Fixed the sound being extremely loud the first time you open the game

Additional notes, P.S, etc.

The DEBUG window is an intended feature.

If you wanna leave a level or something else, press ESC.

Try pressing the title in the menu.

The editor is the most fun part of the game. Even if you don't want to play through the whole game, please try out the editor! :)

Great puzzle game, though it takes some time to understand. Music is a bit repetitive, but I like the overall design. Good job!

Thanks! We had another track, but it went unused because it didn't fit well.

I really liked the game! The idea was brilliant and the puzzles were great. Only issue I had the game is that if you failed the puzzles you would have to restart the whole puzzle, which is often very repetitive as the puzzles are quite large.

@pobix I asked my friend about checkpoints, but he didn't want to add them (no reason). Might do an update in the future. Glad you liked our game!

A good entry, I really liked the "reset" mechanic and the walk 2 very smart, and very cool that there is a map editor in it.

The sound is REALLY LOUD! But thankfully you did give the option to change the volume. Other than that, really cool concept! Although it seems to me this is a lot more similar to a for loop than a while loop. Cool graphics, cool gameplay, slightly repetitive music though. Overall pretty cool concept!

Amazing game! the idea is great, art, music and level design are on-spot, you added a freaking level editor (respect), a few more levels and I had no idea it was made in a 3 day jam.

hmm there seems to be a few bugs with the editor and start, if you move the map you will not start on the start point and if you then remove start point you cant place it agian.

Clever and challenging puzzle game. I liked the simple but yet clear graphics. The balance is great and you introduced the new blocs in a very smart way. Good entry!

Cool puzzles, really makes you think, and the strategy involving timing the red cubes so that you switch places with them is fun. It's very satisfying when you figure a stage out. I reached this stage and decided I'd had enough, the previous one burned my tiny brain out.

I like the look of the game a lot, the audio is nice too (the BGM is a bit grating, I know it's hard with a time limit but try to squeeze ina bit more variety to it if you can) but overall this is really great, good work.

@life-lich Thanks for the feedback! These bugs have been fixed in the 1.1 version.

What i liked:
- Graphics are nice
- Soundeffects
- the variety of the puzzle elements
- instructional gameplay
- feels polished

What i didnt like
- Sound was very loud when starting the game, after adjusting it went to normal volumes as if the values are diffrent from starting up and the standard settings
- did not really see the connection to the while-loop, just a limitation in steps i can walk. The idea is good tho, its just that if there wasnt the text with the while statet above, the game would still play the same because the gameplay itself does not really get affected by it

An example of how i would improove the issue I stated:
have the programm text given (a while loop with the elements as code version) and you can drag the elements from the code into the game (like your level editor and a given level layout just with a limitation so to speak)

(played html version)

@seskon The HTML version hasn't been updated in a while, so the sound bug is fixed in the releases. By the way, thanks for the suggestion! If we continue working on the game, we might add that.

Nice game. I like the puzzles. They are pretty hard. I think a useful thing to have is the ability to step back 1 or 2 steps. It gets annoying to have to re do the whole level because you wasted a step on a wall by mistake. Great work.

Hard but solvable puzzle game!

The sprites are very recognizable and the 8-bit music lends itself well to the theme of the game.

The last level was quite the brain teaser. I used the i=10 tiles as "checkpoints" to think through the next steps. Having them be actual checkpoints instead of getting reset to the very beginning of the level would be nice (although this does conflict with the blue continue tiles).

Being able to make your own levels is a very nice idea. I feel like an astonishing amount of effort went into making this game.

Really interesting game! I quite enjoyed it. The puzzles were challenging and I definitely felt smart when I completed them.
The art is really nice, and the puzzle mechanics were easy to understand.
I did at some point mute the audio, but the music was alright.

I really enjoyed this one, good job!
