Build 'm up, Shoot 'm down! by magus77

[raw]
made by magus77 for Ludum Dare 45 (JAM)

Skeletons are attacking, they sabotaged your canon. The parts are scattered troughout the world. You'll have to find them to be able to Build it up, and Shoot 'm all!!

It was a team effort to design, build and test this game in less than 72 our for the Ludum Dare 45 (www.ldjam.com). It is our 2nd participation in the jam. This time we had the entire weekend planned for this, unlike last time we actually produced this nifty and challenging game. Can you build up the canon?

Have fun with our game!

Greetings from the DataDelft LDjam team: Magus77 and Falien83

controls feel good, though a few jumps are a bit tight. some more visual feedback when taking damage could be good. Feels like there isn't much point in having lives if you lose all your progress every time you die anyway, unless i'm missing something. also retracting spikes that are invisible when retracted feels like a cheap gotcha :P

the spikes should be visible, alto they are tiny, so look close for them . we had a camara shake on damage but it bugged out in the last hour. so the deadline prevented it from comming back into the game. Dying only resets the current level. if you die on a later level, you keep level progress so it doesnt reset you to level 1 when you are in 2 , 3 , 4 or end level.

thanks for the feedback! We'll be working on this game a bit more outside of the jam maybe :-) Hope you had fun playing our game.

Love the fact that it's a webgl build. Makes things very easy to get running!

The audio was simple but effective, and the graphics were charming. Fun and a bit challenging too! Good job to you and your team :)

Very fun! It was nice and accessible, and easy to figure out compared to a lot of games in the jam. Obviously there's room for tweaks, but overall I'm impressed:)

Apart from what @loadsofmana said there is not much complaint in the gameplay. Controls are snappy. A bit of feed back in enemy death would have been nice. I felt Im shooting but the skeleton is not dying. Until I spammed my gun. As for graphics and music I really loved them. Sad to hear about the camera shake that would have been really nice.
