It was nice looking on paper but I’m a bit disappointed by the execution. I know how difficult it can be to tame Physics engines.
Kudos for doing this in 3D and making all the models and the music.
- Headlight glare makes it impossible to make anything out. Just white blooms everywhere, including the mirror. It's cool that the mirrors show reflections to, in theory, let you see what's behind you, but since everything is just bright blooms, it feels impossible to gain any useful information.
- Camera turning is very slow. Can't quickly glance to the side. You sort of have to commit to a direction, so I mostly left it forward.
- Physics are super crazy. Turning while moving quickly makes the vehicle all tipsy and I often end up stuck nose-down somehow.
- Little to no breaking. Not sure if the game was intended to be taken super slow or if you're supposed to just make a b-line for the outer edge, but if you try stop before hitting another car, you basically end up giving it a love tap, which is just as bad as a hard hit (seems there are just 3 hits before you're out, regardless of speed).
- Cars behind you plow through you. Seems like you're moving at the same speed as the rest of the traffic, then, BOOM, you're being launched in the air by a vehicle from behind.
I did manage to make it out of the loop, though. Sort of?

Controlling the camera was kind of difficult because if the mouse wasn't centered, the camera would just keep moving and it was difficult to just look forward.
You should probably add a speedometer since it's hard to see the speed of the car which makes it difficult to determine whether it's safe to make sharp turns. I found that I was rolling over at speeds that I thought were safe so since you can't actually see the wheels of the car leaving the road from the camera view, add a different way to indicate that to the player.
The game definitely needs some kind of scoring system. After a few tries I felt like I was getting the hang of it and doing a good job, but when I broke down I had no way of knowing how much I improved.
I hope my feedback doesn't discourage you, hardly any jam game is perfect (God knows mine never are). This was an excellent use of the theme and I liked the music which seems to fit the mood of the game well. Congrats on finishing!
