You are a Beetroot

There you are, minding your own business while listening to your favourite songs. Suddenly, a horde of snails descend upon you. Well, that's just not on. It's time to fight back.

So grab your salt shaker, your best headphones (we recommend "Beets by Dray"), and a can-do attitude: It's time to slug these snails.

How to Play

What to do

Use the reticule to aim at incoming snails, and tap in time with the beat to rebuff and damage them, buying you precious time.

The game is over when the Beet has taken too much damage or you've defeated all the snails!

Controls

| Control | Description | |--------------------|--------------------------------------| | Spacebar | Tap in time with the beats to attack | | Mouse | Aim | | Q / Esc | Back to main menu |

The graphics are really beautiful but i found out that i am unable to press the spacebar to the beat haha...

I found myself wishing for a bit of a louder beat in the music! The claps and missing low end seem a bit at odds with the visuals, IMO. But yes, the art is very nice, and I did win! The difficulty is nicely balanced.

Fun little rythm game with very nice visuals. It becomes super easy when you get a beat. I think mashing space to melody will bring more fun to this game.

Really like the graphics and the songs sound solid too! The first time I booted up the game, I ran into some bug that prevented the music from playing which made it a little confusing lol. But I refreshed and it fixed it. I did struggle to press space to the beat, so I die pretty quick.

Never thought I'd want to play a game about a beetroot killing snails by dancing to a beat yet here I am. I took some time to jam to the title screen music too.
I enjoyed playing this game. Good work.

Thank you for your entry.

At first I thought that it is unbeatable but then I get used to it. Really nicely done - nice graphic, nice music. :)

Thanks for sharing.

Nice idea, i love games with rhythm based mechanics. Art style looks nicely. Good job. I am not sure it is a bug or feature, but seems that you cant attack after snails have been crawled too close to the hero.

Good little rythm game and it looks so nice! I struggled to hit the space bar to the beat, so the snails beat me good. :')

A very amusing concept and well presented also. It could maybe use a little audio feedback for damage and such. Other than that, great job!

Quite difficult but the music is great. I really like the post-processing effects on the sprites. It really adds to the aesthetic. My only feedback was that the game and beat feel really weighty, so the projectiles feel out of place with their relative weightlessness. Other than that, great job!

I just wish I was better at clicking to the rhythm so I could listen to the whole song XD
Awesome work!

Great Visuals and audio.
The sound track got me committed immediately, although I personalty experienced difficulty with timing my input to the visuals, they didn't seem to match the beat. Great charming package overall

Nice game, I'm not used to having to keep the beat _and_ concentrate on incoming enemies, so that was a nice challenge!

Wow I didn't expect that !

That's a great game, with a great song !

May be you could try to add some visual feedback like in other rythm games.
For instance a green color if you are good and red if you are doing bad, and text like (Perfect - good - bad) every time you hit space

Nice original concept, good graphics and lyrics. The lyrics put you off the beat sometimes though... Beat could be more present also. Good game !

Graphics are super cool! and game concept is nice too. Maybe the game could be stage/level based? so you aren't bombarded with snail continuously and give you change to look at your progress?

Really cool! I feel like the rhythm game aspect of it could have been tuned better, more feedback for onbeat/off-beat would be nice. Great graphics, fun music, excellent work!
