Air Jump by Konstantin Abezgauz

[raw]
made by Konstantin Abezgauz for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Have you seen "Hero" short by Blender? The story is simple - there was a village in the desert, where some Magic Stone existed. That Stone provided water to the villagers. But the bad guys stole this Stone. Now the villagers have to send a hero, to return the stone.

In our game we tried to represent the middle section of the film, where airplanes battle was displayed.

I think this is a good test of mechanics. I'm sure you'll find a way to incorporate some of these ideas into future projects. Good work!

Fun game! Even though the art may not be great, I think it all fits together very well. Maybe try to add some animations (even just small ones) and you'd have yourself a great mood. Overall good job!

The controls are pretty unresponsive.

I love this! I didn't understand the controls but managed to beat the game.

The first thing I noticed: the font - I was wondering if you did paint it yourself but all the letters are the same, so I assume it is a "proper" font.
The music is great for such a game, the graphics of course need improvement. What I really enjoyed was the crazy physics.

As a reply to Furfel: Thanks for your comment! Yes, the font was actually made by our musician. And the physics is our selling point(atleast in my imagination). Tnanks for attention, that you have paid, that you all have paid!

The font is hard to read, but I still love it. I love the scale of this game too. There is no way I am ever going to beat it. I like the art, but couldn't manage the mechanics. Thanks for the game!

I like the game idea, but the controls felt a bit strange.

I was unable to even get to the second platform :/ the controls seem pretty hard (and the effects of getting hit pretty unpredictable) to me.

Nice programmer art though ^^

Cool idea! You might want to consider making the 'jump' and 'slow fall' use the same button, seems more intuitive to me. Not really sure what's the purpose of having a rotation though.

Congratulations for making this game.
It's clear that you didn't have the time to finish the game.
I see this is your first ld entry, keep going and carry on !

Funny idea, I wonder how I could finish the game even though I didn't understand the controls haha
The font was really hard to read for me, but music was pretty good.
Maybe you could have worked on the theme a bit more though

The concept is good but the execution is flawed (the physics engine of the game is pretty buggy), but there is a potential there!
Congrats, you guys can make really good games with animations and polish on your games :D
