Gameplay wise the startup sequence got a bit samey and when I failed the launch it put me right back at the start of the game. A checkpoint system would be nice so you don't have to repeat all the steps again. Otherwise the game conveyed itself well to the player I was never in doubt of what I should do.
The tutorial was a bit long for me. I'd love to play a version that's better checkpointed, as the commenter above me said.
Overall my favorite game in the jam so far!
Good job for one person! :)
Thanks for such great entry!
NOTE:
INT / ERROR 522 in CONSEQUENCES there should be "UNSTABLE" but is "UNSABLE" ;)
It would be awesome if instead of being fully scripted, the scenario had random events: sometimes you get to the Moon, sometimes you don't, sometimes one error pops up, sometimes another. I can imagine myself sitting for hours and navigating the crew through different missions.
Some things that I think could be improved:
-The text speed is a bit too slow; I'd have been happier if it got printed out a bit faster
-The game kind of punishes experimentation (like, "what happens if I swap this sequence") by making you start from scratch, and coupled with slow text, it's a bit painful
-Player gets a "Continue" if they succeed in the aborted mission, but it seems like it's still the same mission? I didn't have enough patience to go through it again, but all the events seemed the same.
-There are some typos here and there, like "noise just stoped", "openning", "next ime", "reciever", "as follow"
-A lot of error descriptions just say "Internal Error", text for Error 231 is empty
@Woob : Text speed is slow on purpose. I wanted everyone (even those whose English is not their mother tongue -like me for instance :D-) to have time to understand everything. It also serves gameplay purposes. But I didn't realize it would be annoying to some player. I'll see if I can increase the speed and delay between messages to compensate.
@KebabuTurka : Nice catch :). I didn't had time to spell check the guide pages, unfortunately. I'll fix it.
@Eldar : Thank you so much. Those errors are made up, but inspired from real events and error that happened. Mostly during Apollo 13 mission.
It does punish experimentation (it IS rocket science, after all :p).
Thanks for the feedback on text speed, I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for the typo, I'll fix them.
A lot of error descriptions are not used, that's why it writes Internal Error. I put too much content in the game :p.
By the way, to everyone who liked the game, I really advise you to check out the NASA archives on Apollo 13. If you liked the mood of the game, you'll love it. https://apolloinrealtime.org/13/?t=-00:00:56
This game is really impressive!
I love your take on the theme! The game looks great, the way dialogs are shown feels like it was shown on old computer terminals (I love it), the sound is nice, what can I say more, I love it!
(Except the lack of checkpoints, as stated before, it would have been nice x3)
Overall, this is ending on my favorite games list, I'm impressed!

The Mood was outstanding and the feeling to controll this ship was awesome.
Amazing Game. Well Done
But something complex like this definitely has more potential to become an actual game.
The interface was clever and everything was well set with good triggers and nice flow.
Congrats!
Cool game! The piece of music playing during the more tense part of the game was very nice. The aesthetics were coherent. For less of a visual novel experience and added challenge it might be fun to have all the interaction buttons on the screen at all times! (And appropriate reactions to the player screwing up the mission.)
If I had a complain it would be the keyboard sound loop that was a bit heavy in my opinion and the HUD's values could maybe be more interactive (apart from the Moon part and errors they don't come that much into play).
Thanks!
One thing I'd wish for is to have you not be put completely to the very beginning when you fail, so you don't have to go through the tutorial stage twice.
Otherwise, very impressive and immersive game, 5/5 Mood to be sure.
Wonderfully done!
The sound effects are perfect, the screen effects and status monitors are top-notch and the story is well done.
Would have loved to play more and harder missions with different things going awry left and right. This could be the base for a marvelous game I always dreamed of!
Well done!
