The lighting from the lasers is subtle but very effective, nice!

Love how the meteors look like cookies or meatballs 🤣 The intro is really funny, was really laughing out loud, I wish you would also have written something funny for the fail state 😉 Keep it up!

A nice arcade style experience! I like the visual effects, like screen shake.

My best time was 2 Minutes 35 seconds. I like the easy gamestyle, I knew instantly what to do and shoot them down. One minor thing, the screen shake at every shot was a bit nauseating over time. Otherwise nice entry, also cool music!

Okay I must say that the game felt really good, like it was super satisfying because of the screen shake and particle effects when destroying the asteroids! However I think there could be great improvements when it comes to graphics and ui. The game simply looks a bit unprofessional right now. But there is great potential. Good job for your first Ludum Dare!

Although I like the competitor's defense system, T.I.T.S. (Thermonuclear Interstellar Threat Suppressor) better, I must admit this was pretty cool.

Jokes aside, I had a lot of fun playing. The shooting feels really satisfying, the art looks nice and the music and sound effects are great. Love it!

Overall, I really enjoyed playing through this game; but there is one thing that I kinda bothered me while I was playing.

This feature was probably intentional, but I personally struggled a bit with the fact that the cannon couldn't rotate lower than around the 20 degree mark on either side. Perhaps make the range of movement a tad bit bigger?

In any case, excellent work! This is really impressive for time submission!

I really like this game. It took me back to the old days. Well done!

Suggestion: you can simply add some variety to the game by adding some random spin to the asteroids and things like that. You can also make the game a bit more challenging if you make the bullet slower, meaning that the player has to anticipate where to aim at, in order to hit an asteroid.

This is pretty simple and the idea is nothing new, but you made it feel so good to shoot the things :D
Good job! The music was nice and retro. Keep on making games!

I survived for 2 minutes and 9 seconds. The camera shake was a nice touch, but it is a bit much. Perhaps adding a dampen effect on the shake if the player is spamming bullets. Also, maybe the asteroids could split into smaller chunks when shot. Just a thought!

Overall, really fun, really polished, really well done! =)

very nice one! This is a very good compo game.

Pretty simple but well executed. The game feel is there thanks to audio and visual feedbacks, the menu is clear, the art and audio are functional. The difficulty ramp up is well balanced.

Thanks for the game!

Very well polished game, could have done with a tiny bit less screen shake
