I like the menu system, having to jump up to start is a cool intro to the game controls.
The thing is a bit too fast. I only managed to avoid it 3 times.
The art is pretty nice, I think you did great for first jam and game!

The aesthetic and art of the game is really pretty! It fits together well, I like the sound effect of the jumping, it would be cool if there were more sounds like maybe creepy sounds for the ghost creature or maybe walking sounds. I found the game to be difficult but not annoyingly difficult, it was a good challenge! I really enjoyed it and think it's a good first game! Keep it up, you definitely have a lot of potential

Good work. Good graphics. But it's quite fast to play ( give us, poor human beings, a chance  ). Controls are also fast and sensitive. And some more sound would be a lot better. Congrats...

The interactive menu is pretty cool and I like the pixel art, although the game is much too difficult. For your first game, this is pretty impressive!

I like the design of the menu system as well, remind me of a game series I used to play called "I wanna", also my first time making a game and joining the ludum dare. Love to know what you think of my entry~

I never thought I would go back to the menu so often in a gameXD. It's a little difficult for me, but the game is great

The art is nice. Like everyone else said, however, the enemy seemed fairly fast. I felt the controls were fine, though. I definitely played it a couple of times to try to master it.

Nice work :) Fun game, love the aesthetic. I do agree that it's a bit quick! But awesome work for 48 hours. :)

Love the interactive menu, I wish it would show my my time after I died so I could at least see if i was making any progress

This is really good for a first game! I think a lot of beginners make their controls too floaty or slow, but I definitely didn't have a problem with the controls in this case. The one thing I think would make this game much better was if the enemy flying around slowed down when it turned, right now it's a bit too hard to predict where it's gonna go since it bounces back so quickly. Great job, be proud of yourself!

I have the impression that the game is a little more difficult than it should be. Everything is very fast here! The art is really beautiful, I also liked the sound feedback. And I have to say that I loved the interactive menu. This game has a lot of potential to be explored. Great job! Keep creating games and participating in Jams, congrats on the first game and welcome!

Nice game for a first entry. Platforming mechanics seem to be good, that's very important. Art is fine, but a bit random. Too bad the main game is so simple and getting a good result seems to be more about luck than skill, because the enemy moves so fast. Wouldn't mind seeing something more complex next time!

The graphics are nice. Took me awhile to figure out how to move as I was trying WASD (My keyboard doesnt have dedicated arrow keys) but once I figured it out it was fun. Quite challenging however, it moves a little too fast. my record was 14 seconds. Great first game.

Cute little game! The controls are a bit wonky - but I know how hard that is to get right (allowing jumps even when slightly off the platform, or slightly before hitting a platform makes it "feel" a lot more intuitive). Excellent work though, and I like using the game itself as a menu. Took a couple of tries of dying instantly to get a hang of it, but managed to survive like 30 seconds after that ;)
