DESCRIPTION

Loopgun is a fast-paced experimental game about shooting and time shifting. The protagonist finds himself right in the middle of a testing ground, when a voice tells him that something is wrong: the time stabilizer is malfunctioning and, every time he shoots, his weapon releases a residual image that will shoot forever. Will he survive? This game is intended to be a vertical slice, a proof-of-concept of some ideas.

CONTROLS

WASD - Move the character around

Spacebar - Jump

Mouse Look Left Click - Shoot

Looks amazing, and the audio is great. Also fun to play (although I'd welcome an opportunity to shoot like crazy with some rapid fire blaster.)

Impressive looking game, a lot of care was put in graphics and effects! The gun holograms and the time rewind are a cool take on the theme. It's also a nice touch to add voice acting and bit of backstory. The only things I would improve is to make the rewind faster, especially on harder difficulty.

Good job on this submission :v: :hamster:

The concept was so good, the artstyle is just incredible, I loved all the hardsurface modeling and the style of the enviorment, I didn't undertand the narrator till I died. One thing that could improve the game is the rewind speed, but overall is amazing.

Nice idea, beutiful graphic and a great implementation! I found more difficult finishing the "easy" mode than the "ridiculous" due to the limited time available to finish it... but both where a nice challenge ;-)

Ottimo lavoro, bravi!

Really nice idea, would be certainly nice to see the result if you´ll continue to expand the idea. Good job!

Very innovative, having to wait so long for the gun to fire felt very sluggish and I was missing a little more feedback when I destroyed an enemy. I wish there was something to tell me how much time I had left and when I got killed I got quite bored waiting for it to loop back through my actions, although that was very cool perhaps making it faster or skip? Maybe holding down enter speeds it up? Solid entry and a great basis for something more!

Very impressive demonstration! I'm interested, did you already have any ideas for a complete game in mind when creating this?

I agree that the environment and the VFX are done very nicely. Also liked the voice acting. The gun charging felt a bit tedious but that's something that is probably down to tweaking for a more serious release.

Great entry!

Nice voice acting and this look stunning just a bit short. Two things i would have changed first make the intro skippable, i don't want to sit tough the same part over and over again just let me shoot :)

Second the drones where often intersecting each other probably is just a gamejam thing of not having enough time but it looks a bit silly. But amazing work one of the prettiest games i have seen this jam

Nice experiment, looks very good. But I'm missing an actual game mechanics feedback loop from the fact that the guns keep firing - it feels like nothing more than a small hazard... did I miss something then?
