Hisen's Heroes by Gilokko

[raw]
made by Gilokko for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Play this half hour RPG to save Hisen, to keep it alive.

The monsters that live on Hisen want to destroy it... We are not gonna let that happen.

Play as Lily, Guyran, Sarah and Roger in this short RPG.

The controls are pretty much the normal RPG Maker controls: https://rmmv.neocities.org/page/01_06.html

I liked the map design, but I think you can add a lot of charm to a game like this by adding more interactable bits of environment.

I wasn't familiar with this programming environment, but it looks like it has a lot of flexibility. Interesting to run around and see what you'd put in there.

Why there is no audio criterion? I will give this one at least 4

That's great! Musics are pretty cool, and I like to just walk everywhere and talk with everyone. That's not a new concept but this is good thougt. I especially like the graphics insides houses !

Nice game! I didn't know that it's possible to make a web-version of rpg maker game, very convenient!
I loved exploring the maps and interacting with characters.
Battles look great, love the little sprites! I used to play some rpg maker games before, but didn't see anything like that. It would be nice to have an auto battle mode too.
Good work!

@pixel-error Because only one song (The theme at the start menu) was made for Ludum Dare, all the other music is straight from RPG Maker. So I opt-out from that voting category.
>You’re free to use 3rd party Artwork/Music/Audio assets, or assets you previously created, but we ask that you OPT-OUT of the respected voting categories (Graphics, Audio).

Very nice little RPG, thanks! I loved the variety of locations and enemies, and bosses of course. I saw few RPGs here before, but there was no bosses and that upset me. Cool game, thanks!

Nice little RPG, made me want to beat it :D was a nice relaxing game to play but not very challenging, maybe it could have some mini-games to give it a bit more variation. Enjoyed the story, good work!

This is beautiful! I didn't think I would find an RPG maker game here.

Nice RPG, But it took me a lot to discover how to exit the initial city, maybe some tutotrial at the begginig should be nice.
Congratulations for your entry!

@laura-del-pino Sorry if it was difficult to find the exit, I'll have that in mind. I thought it was kind of obvious where it was, but I guess I was wrong. I tried to give as much freedom as I could in the game.

I will play again. :)

The first time I played I reached the third level (after two battles with relatively strong creatures).

When I entered the village I went directly to the first house, then the LOADING screen started and the game didn't come back.

This screen is very unpleasant, if you can change it to an animation showing a character doing something, it could be more fun.

@gustavo-christino Thank you, I will take that into consideration... Most of the time that screen will appear is in the browser version, I honestly didn't see it even once when making the game, so I didn't even make something with it. But I will definitely have that in mind.
