Cute game! The cutscene at the end was a nice touch, graphics are incredible. There are quite a few games in this jam with a similar idea to yours, but even then I think you did a good job.

The really like the entire aesthetic and the ghosting mechanic works well with the theme.

Awesome concept! Love the style of the game, like that you're shown playing on a handheld console, and that the timer is shown as the battery for it. I did had a little issue with jumping while standing on my clone that was jumping aswell, but overall smooth gameplay

This is sick, the whole concept is great! First few puzzles got a bit repetitive, may want to introduce some more elements slightly quicker, and then expand upon them! Other than that, love it <3

Every aspect of it is great, attention to detail is top notch. I wish there were an easter egg at the first level which you could access by jumping on the left shelf. Other than that I have zero complaints about the game.

Nice, cohesive feel to this game. Great graphics, good music. It wasn't very obvious why my clone would disappear, because I kept grabbing the gameboy first. But then I figured it out, and got the hang of it. The puzzles through level 5 were a little easy and uninteresting, though.

Overall, good aesthetics.

This might be the one of the most polished and the most asthetical game in this jam. Amazing soundtrack with gorgeous graphics and also a decent gameplay. There might be some kind of indicator for our "future ghost" to plan our moves in order to that. Also the leves feels same, nothing much added and feels repetitive. Other than that, it's an amazing game with fully polished and juicy feel, the mood is just "perfect". Also, I shoked when I encountered with the ending cutscene, truly an amazing way for storytelling in this short amount of time. Keep up your good work and thank you for this submission!

i was a looper the whole time!!!! the first level where you have to jump on your clones head could have been a little lower. I felt like I did everything correct several times but yet never got the height to get over. Then randomly it seemed like my character jumped an extra body height and im not sure why.

Very good game! Graphics are pretty great, and the gameplay is very smooth, the soundtrack is awesome and the clone repeating stuff is a neat puzzle solver, i found a little bug!! Here is:

##If you tap twice fast when you jump you do a double jump, it helped me to play and no need sometimes my clone.

Greetings and great game!

Wow this one is incredible.

The art is beyond solid, the sounds go well with the game, the level design is simple and effective, the core mechanic is very efficiently conveyed, the length of the game is spot on for a jam game, and there even is a short story to top it off!

As stated by others, collisions are not the best, especially frictions on walls. You might want to apply a different physics material with 0 friction on the sides of your jumping characters so that they don't stick to walls.

Awesome job making this game 💕

Great visuals! Cool cutscene art. Perfect amount of story. The last level was kind of tough, watching your play through I guess I made it harder than it had to be, I was trying to have the clone jump halfway then jump off its head. IF the clone carried the player like that, it would have opened up some other types of levels like staying on its head while it runs under walls you need to jump over.

Great entry! Congratz!

@beats The player finds the boy who controls him. They stare at each other. At that time, the Game Boy gets broken and the player disappears. The boy looks at us, thinking he is also controlled by someone else.

HOOO a game taking place in a gameboy how could I not like it? It was awesome!! And there is even a very good end cinematic O.o
I didn't fully understood the fact that the clone apparation was triggered by the gameboy item, and the 3 or 4 first level could be solved just by running to the right.
It's one of the best game I played in this LD!!

Really well made.

I like that fact that there is no text in the the to tell you how to play and yet it is easy to understand with new levels.

The ending cinematic is the cherry on the top. Good job!

That was awesome! Kudos to the artists, composer and sound designer. Very well made and polished as can be! This looks and sounds very professional. Not too long, not too short, though the puzzles themselves were pretty easy and I think you could've made more creative puzzles with this (even though the mechanics aren't soooo flexible to begin with). The controls felt responsive and the game ran like butter. Good job on that front! I had some issues with the jumping physics at some point, where I was stuck on a ledge, but that was just a minor setback. The cutscene at the end was a nice twist and rounded the package up even more.

Congrats on this fantastic entry!

Awesome animations and artstyle and a great ending animation. Gameplay was also innovative and fit the theme. The music was fitting to the style, just got a bit too repetitive too quickly. My only gripe with the controls was that jumping of your own head was abit fidgety. Other than that, perfect jam game!

The game looked and felt really good, the story was compelling the characters gripping and the art was angelic. I really enjoyed the mechanic, and i would love to see more levels for this game. The fact that the game loops back after the ending was a really nice touch.

**Good game! Fun and challenging!**

**Here is my feedback:**

**What I liked?**
- I liked the main menu.
- The visuals look nice.
- I liked the music.
- I liked the SFX.
- I liked the transitions.
- I liked the level design.
- I enjoyed the mechanics and the gameplay of the game.
- I liked the player feedback.

**What I disliked?**
- Jumping SFX sounds a bit disruptive/ annoying.

**Bugs:**

- ~~- Level 5, clone self doesn't go to the wall that is next to the canvas, if you did. Instead he stops here [1] (I think this is a bug)~~
(No, it is not a bug, at that time I didn't understand the mechanics well)

- You can't jump from the top of clone self if, he is jumping.

**Suggestions:**
- Maybe, display current and max level.
- Maybe, if I skipped the level don't display "Success", instead of that display something like "Level Skipped", or something alike.

The visual are very nice, I was shocked by the restart/character fade animation, really good! Also nice colors. Music is also good and fitting, sfx could be a bit less high-pitched tho.

The idea for the gameplay is nice, but having only one clone seems a bit restricting (but who knows, it could work), the issue is that your levels, apart from the one where you have to press many times the button, are too simple/require just a single thing that is very straightforward.

You also rely on jump a lot, but jump does not work that well, I struggle a lot in jumping when I was over my clone: a lot of times I pressed the button and the guy didn't jump, I don't know why, maybe for some bug he was considered to be in air and so the jump was discarded, or else. It was very frustrating because I needed to restart every time to make my clone to the same thing, because after some failed attempt the clone moved (where the gameboy was) and so I needed to do another one.
Last level took me more than 10 attempts and it was clear it was not my fault =/

The gameboy setting at first seemed a bit out of context, just there because it's cool, but you made some sort of story with it that leads to a plot twist so at least is more reasonable. I still find it a bit of a stretch, maybe because there is no clue about it and it's just there. For this same reasons the theme connection was not that strong. This may be very personal tho!

All said and done, it's a nice and polished game with a cool style, and I think that with some improvements it could become funnier/smoother and also a bit more challenging.

My years of cheesing videogames is the only reason I figured out level 5 so fast lol. Level 6 was tricky, just required some timing. Was hoping for a little bit of a final battle or something, but time restrictions and all! Love the art style. Would love to see this worked on post-mortem!

@stefan-b Thanks. I have seen a few LD47 games that use the similar ghost mechanic, like https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/tempus-locus I guess this was inevitable with the "Stuck in a loop" theme :)

A very creative game! I like thematic involving a gameboy, this is something very nostalgic. The graphics are very beautiful, and the music is good, as well as the sound effects. The controls are precise, and the level design, including the puzzles, is very interesting and well planned. The main mechanics, involving copies that perform the same movements that the player had made, is pretty cool. In general it is a good interpretation of the theme, and the game itself offers a pleasant experience. I hope that you consider making an expanded and commercial version, it would be incredible. The end of your game was chilling hahaha. Good job.

i love this game!!! the pixel gameboy style and color palette are really pretty, theme tie in is perfect. i love how the battery meter depletes on the gameboy, and that's how you gameover / reset. the progression of difficulty and puzzles was really nice. music and SFX were perfectly suited to the game. amazing level of polish! well done well done.
