Action Loop by iszlonn

[raw]
made by iszlonn for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

It's the last day of shooting. There's only one scene left to film and it's the simplest of all: Just a topdown view of the main character walking across a room. But the director has a different idea and they will keep asking for take after take of increasingly dumber ideas. explorer_kqy7auQ3hO.png PrvCgoi6b7.png meK535wFai.png WMjYQmauRK.png KZevHa6HI9.png

I added a WebGL version that can be played on desktop browser, It's not optimal because the controllers are designed to be multitouch, but can still be played! Hope you enjoy!

This is hilarious, loved it. Short and sweet, but very punchy. Played it on the web for convenience, but the android version probably works much better for input. Great work!

I loved the humor! The texts in between, especially when you fail, was pretty interesting. Even though the sound was simple, I think it worked really well with the game. great job!

Great use of the theme, and even better use of the film narrative to tell it under! Awesome work!

That was **PERFECT!**

but...

nah, there's no but. This game is perfect for what it tried to achieve. The sound design is on point, the humour is great, you don't ever feel annoyed or bored from a task. Excellent short game. Thank you for bringing it to life! :3

Nice game!

A very creative and smart use of the theme.
The game is short and to the point. The story is fun.
The visuals and gameplay are pretty barebone but I guess this is not the focus.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Congrats, one of the funniest and most polished titles I've come across this jam! I played through it twice just to see all the messages. I wish it was a bit longer, or that the tasks were more difficult, to make the "stuck in a loop" aspect more obvious, but you can only do so much in 72 hours... and I'm glad that more effort went into the pacing and visual design of the director's commands, which really make the game. (On a sidenote, I think our entries have many similarities, with the player being cursed to follow the on-screen narration, but if this is a high-octane energy cocktail, mine is a mulled wine by a fireplace.)

Extra thanks for adding the WebGL build!

This is probably my favourite game of the jam because it didn't waste ANY TIME! In, out, inside of 5 minutes. GREAT JOB! :D

I wish this was longer... 😢 everything was perfect, it makes me sad I can complete it in a mere 2 to 3 minutes. PLEASE make a longer version!!

A big thanks to @trexxak for recommending this!
