Save! Load! Fight!

As a recently dead android, you've now arrived in the Android Afterlife. This means you now have to battle all the other androids you've killed in your life. But you are not alone! Along to help you is... you? As time is pretty wonky in the Android Afterlife, you actually have three separate save files you can use to battle in the same time! (kind of) 2.png

Gameplay

Choose three abilities for each save, and then fight through various levels, one save at a time. Your past saves will repeat their actions to help you! You can also interact with the past (well, technically, the 'now'). If you died in another save, but save it this time, you can go back to that save to finish it! 1.png

Controls

Use WASD to move and LMB, RMB and E to fire your abilities. 4.png

Very unique game, very well designed and implemented. Gives a very good challenge and I love the style and vibe. Nice one! It's somehow a little complex but after a while you get it.

good amount of content for a jam! Concept was interesting to see my past failed attempts at completing the level help me out in my second and third attempts lol

I like the concept! Was kinda hard to get at the beggining but I figured it out.

Wow, so many weapons! I think the battle is a bit too messy, clamped and random to fully utilize arsenal potential. Very solid overall.

I feel like the game has a lot of potential, but the melee skills feel... a little underwhelming? Though I have to admit the "looping consciousness" was a really clever take on the concept! Very innovative :)

Nice work! I imagine it was a ton of work to implement so many different weapons in a single weekend! The style is all really coherent and solid! I wasn't able to beat some of the later levels, just because there were so many, but I imagine with some practice I could get better at dodging and juking them. I tried to use the trap and stunning weapons to set the enemies up for later runs but sometimes had difficulty with that. The game was a lot of fun!

I was breezing through the early levels with a single life but one you get up to 7-10 man those start getting hard. It feels great though when just manage to save a previous life right before you lose though.

Very cool concept, and all the details are nicely polished. I had a lot of fun.

It seems like there are two divergent strategies:
- Try to beat the level in one go.
- On your first one or two lives try to damage as much as possible and don't worry about dying, then save your previous lives with the next one.
If you try to live a long time on your first life by dodging enemies, but then die, your second life is liable to mess up where the enemies were and get your first life killed before its time.

It took me a while to realise that the E abilities' cooldown decreases when you defeat enemies.

Man that was fun to play. Juicy effects, the music felt great, the sfx were great, the art was cohesive. The controls and the abilities were intuitive and the game was fun and fair. Super solid entry!

Great game! Was a little confused at the beginning though. A tutorial would have been nice.

Started out alittle confused but I quickly understoond after. I thought the concept of having dead versions of yourself fight by your side was really interesting. The idea and concept were really cool and innovative but it's the exection that I wanna talk about. I dont think some of the weapons are balanced enough copared to some others. Im not sure if this is intended but some abilities and weapons are just better than others which make me want to not use them and avoid the most interesting mechanic of the game which are the allies.. In addition I fell like the enemies are unfair. Some weapons require you to stop all movement speed while abunch of enemies shoot directly at you causing you to die whenever you try to use it. Maybe you could either make the player invincible, pause time or allow the player to move so they can get a shot off. Another thing about the enemies is that I feel like their attacks should be more telegraphed. They shoot very fast lasers that are difficult to dodge. It would be helpful to see when they are going to attack so they player could dodge. Besides that I think it was a fun entry overall with a really awesome concept at heart.

The game feels polished! I think it would be good if you slowly introduced the weapons rather than having them all be given to you at once, that way you could slowly introduce the mechanics of the game. Great entry all around though.
