Description
Sheep are dumb. Make sure the dumb sheep stay alive by using your rain and lightning to keep them from starving, dehydrating, and becoming a tasty snack for the wolves.
Note: HTML runs smoother on FireFox. There's a setting in Chrome that helps but I have forgotten what it is (researching...). We recommend playing a standalone version if you can (PC/Mac)
Gameplay
- Keep the dumb sheep alive by filling their water and growing food for them to eat.
- Defend the dumb sheep by using your weather powers against the wolves.
Controls
- Use Lightning: LMB
- Use Rain: RMB -- * Alternatively you can hold (shift or crt or cmd) + LMB
- Pause: ESC

After the initial fire incident, none of my sheep died and I eventually finished the round with 8 sheep rescued. The graphics are solid, everything is well designed. I really appreciate the bustling bushes that telegraph the wolves coming in. But playing it twice without casualties, I feel maybe it could have been a little more challenging.
All in all, a pretty solid entry. Good work!
a small timer that began to get louder at the end would make the ending transition less sudden from game to results. Nice Jam game with a unique take on the theme.
* Fun: The controls are a blast and super easy to pick up (albeit difficult on my trackpad but that's not your fault  )
* Innovation: Tons of cool and unexpected elements here. I was shocked and delighted to see that lightning not only killed wolves, but also started brush fires and lit your sheep as well. By the end of the game my entire field was ablaze
* Theme: Great take
* Graphics: Cute 3D models consistent with the 2D art on the title screen and on the background of your entry page. Hard to believe this was all done in one jam
* Audio, Humor, Mood: Upbeat barnyard music juxtaposed with the bleating of your panicked flaming sheep running around is hilarious and perfect
Congrats on completing such an awesome game and thank you for sharing!
It's easy to get started.
And even though the player has 2 actions (rain & thunder), they bring many gameplay interactions.
Loving the mood and feel of the game, also the bushes moving where the wolves are coming from is a nice touch!
The game is a bit slow and too easy for me, unless you miss click and then fire happens and you basically lost :( might need a little bit of tweaking on that!
Congrats to the team, still a very nice entry!

I always want to focus on negative feedback because I think it's the most helpful, but I'm having trouble finding how to criticize this.
I love the art style, the music was great, sound was absolutely hilarios, UI was good, gameplay was very intuitive and needed almost no explaination, even more complex mechanics like lightning striking the puddles and fire damage were easily learned while playing.
It'll just throw out a random idea... what if after a while there'll be a random wolf come out dressed as a sheep, the "wolf in sheep's clothing" to throw players off who are used to looking for white sheep and black wolves? Just a suggestion, the game is still great as-is.
Pretty fun little game! I liked the different interactions you came up with between water and lightning.
One additional use for lightning would have been really cool too, since water has more uses. But overall, I think it's really well thought out and looks and plays great!
Uploading it as a .unitypackage might be better. If I successfully port it I'll let you know.
Thank you all for playing our little silly attempt at humor :)
@fatsheep - lol, nothing to do with your user handled I'm sure :D
I'll be making time this weekend to get through all the games we haven't played yet. We are looking forward to playing ya'lls
@flaterectomy Since the game is so short and quick to reset we thought it would be better to let players experience the game and discover on their own without hopefully making it impossible to figure out. Looks like we succeeded somewhat. Thanks for playing and the feedback.
@zeggamer I agree. We wanted to add something to indicate the game had ended, I was thinking of the sheeps dancing, but we realize we didn't have anything prepare about and hour before the jam ended so it will have to be on a future release. :) Thanks for playing.
@joe-cowman Thank you for taking the time to point out all the things that stood out to you especially since we spend the first two days of the jam making sure that the mechanics of the cloud all made sense before we added a single wolf. Thanks for playing
@rolodophone Thank you for your feedback which let us to include a small in game UI sprite that indicates which button performs which actions. Thanks for playing
@toffanim thanks for sharing your experience. For the jam we wanted to focus more on the silly aspect of the game and letting you be creative with your powers so the balancing came as an after thought to be honest. :) We have room for improvement there for sure. Thanks for playing!
@thecrancher Glad you enjoyed it! We did have plans for more types of wolves but we didn't consider having a wolf that targets a certain sheep which means we would need different types of sheeps too. Thanks for the suggestion and for playig. :D
@jake-marks, @mateusboga Thanks for playing and streaming the game
@adamcyounis Sounds like you found a comfortable strategy that still allowed you to have fun which is what we were going for this prototype. Giving the player multiple ways to go about keeping them alive. Thanks for playing
@arden Thanks for posting your results! We meant to add a message to encourage all to do the same to see if we manage to create a game balanced enough that most could win without it being too hectic. Thanks for playing
@sassykeys Thanks!
I mention this in my previous post but wanted to post here so that it is understood. I aim to make time to play and rate all of the games we haven't been able to get to and thank you again for playing and commenting.
Graphics are nice and consisents and sound design is one of the best in this event. My only concern is that fire seems to spread too fast, but maybe it's just me.
If you want to know the timestamp of when your game was played you can see it in this spreadsheet:

And then look in my latest videos and find your game being play (after the current stream ends)

This game is super cute! All around it's super cute and appears quite well executed. I can't comment on how clear controls are or the learning curve, but assuming you've learned them it looks like the challenge ramps up nicely, in a wacky "punish you for your mistakes" kind of way while also making it harder for the player to *not* make mistakes.
My primary criticism is around the audio & graphics. Namely: the graphics are very simplistic, and certain animations such as the wolf attack animation seem disjointed, as well as lack certain visual feedback for what's actually happening. I don't know if a wolf bite is a 1-shot kill on a sheep, but some kind of additional visual or audio cue indicating that a sheep has been bitten (and is about to be bitten) by the wolf would help, especially as a sheep can travel a fair distance away from a wolf by the time the wolf's animation is finished. My experience working around accessibility is that you should do your best to have distinct visual & audio cues whenever something deserving of feedback is occurring, and something like an attack windup that you need to respond to before it finishes is one of those things. Otherwise a player will be left confused about why they lost. I didn't even notice the wolf that killed a sheep in the gameplay video, instead looking at a different wolf winding up an attack. I get that it's a part of the game, but some visual stimulation to make it more clear what the player is dealing with helps reduce their frustration. Feeling like they lost fair-and-square is always better than going "how was I supposed to even see that!?!?!?"
The audio was rich, in that there's a lot of audio going on between the cloud, wolves, sheep walking around, and the music, but a lot of the sounds come across as the same, or very similar. They all seem to fill around the same frequencies. It's worth trying to vary the frequencies a little more, such as having the thunder sound use more bass, the rain more hi-hats & rim hits (along with a pitter-patter pattern to discern the rhythm), and wolves... well honestly the wolf sounds are perfect and would be better with the variety of the other sounds. Other than that, the music is quite loud, making the sounds of the game harder to hear. The music definitely helps with the mood, but it shouldn't impede gameplay. I assume the volume's adjustable though, so I'm not considering it in the ratings.
Overall, awesome job! Definitely an above average game, and the reason I'm harping on these finer details is because you're a team of 4, and therefore with your individual roles you can afford to focus more on each of your crafts.
@jesterseraph Hope you give it a go later but thanks for giving it attention now and for your feedback. The reality is that only there was only ever 2 dedicated/actively individuals working on the game while the other 1 provide music towards the end of the jam and the last one the wolf/sheep models & animations exclusively and nothing more, but I can see your point of view.
@mharring Glad you had fun with it and thanks for playing.
@izzo Thank you for calling out all those details. We spend the majority of the jam programming those in to ensure the feedback was solid and gave players a clear understanding as to what was happening. Thanks for playing
@jon-arvin-medalla Sweet. thanks for playing
@matthewi I hear ya, I myself contemplated a few times whether my actions were justified of if I was disrupting the circle of life ;) lol Thanks for playing
@nocity We tried something new with the voice and it seems to have worked. Thanks for playing
@max-louis Thanks for streaming the game and the suggestions. Thanks for playing
@andidebob Right and so we were very deliberate in making a short but hopefully memorable experience. Thanks for playing :D
@perpetuummobile Happy we made you laugh. That was our main goal. Thanks for playing
@danthegreat Glad you found it amusing. Thanks for playing!
P.S. I am still working through all of the games we haven't yet played. I do like to take my time and try to provide constructive criticism on what worked and where might some changes improve the experience for me personally. I promise to get through them and rate them before the end of the voting time.
Thanks again for playing our silly little game.
Ping me if you need help with mac port, I would gladly help you with it.

1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow:
As a cloud I had two main forms of interaction: splash water and throw lightning.
I found it very interesting to do all of this with just the mouse. I say everything, because there is an overload of functions in throwing water for different purposes (putting out fire, making plants grow, filling the continents with water from the sheep).
It would be interesting to have more functions for the beam too (in post game jam version, if the group wants to change the project more).
Learning to play was fast, I had enough feedback (even without reading a tutorial) to notice that it was with the mouse and (although it took a death) I managed to understand that the two mouse buttons would be possible.
The game flow escalates quickly, especially if the place starts to catch fire (I think the fire is very fast). Perhaps slowing down the rate of fire advance is interesting.
Another thing, perhaps having water on the ground could prevent the movement of wolves (or other animals in a future version). This would allow us to create new forms of interaction (I believe).
2 - Graphics, Audio and Narrative:
The graphics were very good for Ludum Dare's time. Congratulations.
In my view, the audio was cool (slightly funny too).
The narrative is simple, there is not much to talk about (since it has not been so focused on the project so far).
3 - Culture:
The game has a humorous visual aspect. This favors finding interested people (in my view).
It has an administration / management footprint while having several action challenges.
I believe that with the proper polishing and extension of the content, the game has everything to be a good piece to join these niches.
4 - Monetization:
I believe that properly polished and extended, the game can sell to stores like itch.io. :)
Loved the video of streamers playing it too, it gave me a good laugh!
Also, cute animals!!
A great Game well done
@marcmagus Thank you for streaming it
@deathstorm Thank you for playing.

Thanks for playing :D
