You are in COMPO. You cannot use someone else's soundeffects. You also have to upload your source code. And, if you can, please port for osX.

Very atmospheric and creepy. I was not entirely sure about what was expected of me and whether the result was good or bad. I like the intent, but as Nikita already mentioned, you have used non-original audio and your source code is missing, so I can only submit a rating if you apply for the Jam instead.

@nikita-demidov @ghostonline , Thanks for the feedback. I have not included scoring for the audio ( I have made it very clear where i have acquired my Audio, I wonder if your critiques would still be the same if i did not)....

@lukel I had to look it up myself, because I was not sure, but opting out of scoring categories is for Jam entries only. I agree the placement is a bit confusing, but it is there since for the Jam 3rd party assets are allowed and it would be pointless to get scored for those. The Compo requires original works without exception.

About the source code, you are right that you do not need to supply the UE4 engine code. The source code we are referring to is the C++ and blueprints you have written yourself, so others can examine and learn from it. I am not sure how it works for assets in UE4, but I would suggest just zipping up your asset folder and upload it somewhere.

I think it is a shame your entry get penalized, especially since you made a nice game and you are upfront about all this. My suggestion would be to upload a game version without the audio assets (or rerecord them yourself) and indicate that being your compo entry, and the one with the originals as the 'Full' or 'Upgraded' version. That way, you can stay in the compo and let others rate you as well.

@ghostonline I appreciate you what you are saying. For me the competition is already over, i will not be editing the game and for this I will be changing the submission to the Jam. Mainly to avoid competitors feeling they have to point out what was on the submission form.

@ghostonline I do hope you are as critical on reviewing other games, where people may not be as honest/Straight forward as this submission

@lukel I am sorry to hear about your withdrawal from the Compo, but I sure can imagine this not being something you want to deal with after slaving away on your game for 48 hours. Like I said previously, I do appreciate your honesty and I do not see any malicious intent happening here, which makes it difficult to see it working out this way.

Still, you got a good, atmospheric game on your hands in a creepy setting. A solid entry and I wish you the best of luck in the Jam. I am looking forward to playing more of your creations!

@ghostonline Indeed. Thankyou for the feedback, the lighting was by far the most challanging/time consuming part of this project and is still not quite right. Goodluck in the compo!

@stanlkm The idea of the game is to place the cans or keys in the red circle between the bed and cupboard, if the mask is put on you win, if the creature gets you, you loose.
Unofrtunatly time slipped away on me this project, So it is pretty vague.
Thank you for playing!
