Played it, liked it. Nice effort. Intro was awesome! Biggest critique: Hit boxes are a little unforgiving.

Very innovative combat. It's very stressful having such a limiting ammunition. Hitboxes on the trees are pretty whack though.

I liked the game and the concept. Easy controls and mechanics to get a hang of. Not too hard but not too easy either. Good stuff.

As said above, the hitboxes are quite unforgiving^^"

But whatever, very funny intro and the concept is simple but effective and fits the theme!
Good job there, and congratulations for your first participation!

My only concearns are regarding the hitboxes, and also that you could kinda skip shooting and just run, bypassing that gameplay element
Graphics were soso, but the rest was on point!

Hilarious.

Love the mechanic of retrieving your soccer ball.

Wish the hitboxes were a bit more accurate, weaving in and out of oncoming spiders would have been fun.

The sound effects made me laugh every time.

I turn into a turkey dinner too sometimes.

Cheeky game, I loved it. I think the idea of using the soccer ball as a weapon was awesome but could have been expanded a bit. Solid entry though, compelling story and everything!

I had problems with the WASD keys maybe we can add the arrows but otherwise very good game ^^.
I really liked that we could kill the spiders with the ball.

Cool game! Best "soccer player avoiding spiders in their underwear after a plane crash simulator" I have seen. :)
Intro was a nice touch, audio worked nicely and I liked the "snap" sound when I got eaten. Like others said maybe the hitboxes could have been adjusted a bit, but you got used to them. Very nice entry for your first Ludum Dare! Good job!

I'm really impressed! You said this is your first game jam? It doesn't show. Great music - really godo art, and the gameplay was totally solid. Even though I thought the gameplay seemed a bit simple when I first sat down, the tuning really kept me going. The tuning was challenging enough to really keep me on my toes, but easy enough to make me feel like if I just tried a little bit harder I could get a bit farther. Good job.

Pretty hard game. I think the mechanic of the single-shot soccer ball is very interesting but perhaps not very meaningful given the rest of the mechanics--in particular, there were so many spiders that it wasn't really worth the effort to try to retrieve the ball to fight them off. Of course, perhaps your intention was that the soccer ball would feel rather like a rather futile weapon, in which case, good job.

The one thing that really tripped me up was the win condition. I couldn't figure out exactly what to do, although looking back on it, I think I probably just mixed up north and south. So that's probably on me.

I was, however, surprised to see a turkey spawn near my spawnpoint when I returned there after venturing to the right. I think I was expecting the turkeys to be a pretty static thing that was only spawned once, at the beginning of the game.

All told, difficult survival game with interesting narrative potential ala the soccer ball.
