Also, I am planning to make a walkthrough video soon.
Anyway, thank you for playing.
Eventually I figured I could grab rocks and throw them but they didn't seem to hit anything and having rocks crash into the cat didn't seem to have any effect either.
What is the goal? What is the peril?
@zachsbutt oh thank you.
BUT!: I don't know why, but the game just agreed with me, with all the bizzare logic behind it, and originality of the idea. I'd never have thought I'd rate a game like this on the upper end of the spectrum, but in the end I guess it just comes to personal taste, and your game's aesthetics, gameplay, and most of the things you did here are apparently just to my taste.
@sanojian I am glad you find it funny, that is what matters after all. I was trying to create atmosphere of absurdity, but make it too far. Obscure is a correct word, now I see it.
@arkinrev you can change gamespeed by +/- on numpad. Maybe that would help for better experience. But yes, you are probably right about grapple speed.
Thank you all for playing.
I was a fun experience :)
Brought me back to my childhood playing simple point and click adventures.
- questionable graphics :heavy_check_mark:
- ear raping sounds :heavy_check_mark:
- logic that a tinfoil hat wearing crackhead might find questionable :heavy_check_mark:
- waiting for something to happen while aimlessly clicking :heavy_check_mark:
sorry again for the smart balance, feel free to not like this comment ;)
I beat it using the walkthrough, i don't think I would've ever figured it out otherwise. Also I almost went deaf from that sound effect.
I liked it though. Always a fan of weird, experimental games.
There's clearly a lot going on in this game, but they are quite hard to discover, alas. The player could use a bit more hand-holding (either some visual clues or text overlays - maybe showing the thoughts of the astronaut?), because the mechanics are so non-typical. But it looks like you were intentionally going for the challenging quest vibe, and I can respect that. With all that said, the game has a lot going for it, it has an intro, custom visual assets with a consistent look, sound effects, layered world simulation mechanics, and it does not seem to have any bugs. Congrats!
