[raw]
made by Duckonaut for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

Survive the trap system of an ancient temple! Dash through the lanterns in the correct order before the time runs out, or face certain death!

Screenshot.png

CONTROLS:

  • WASD/Arrows - Movement
  • Space - Jump/Walljump
  • Left Mouse Button - Dash towards your mouse cursor

RULES: - Lanterns always spawn in the previous order, only one new lantern appears per wave - Dash through the lanterns in the order they appear to proceed - The numbers start disappearing so better remember the order! - A maximum of 10 lanterns can be spawned in a wave, the oldest one is removed - Don't be afraid to move around, you can't get hurt when you aren't dashing

CHANGELOG: - Added a HTML5 version to the itch.io page, no changes to the game, it's just more convenient

I love the art, super fun game and could definitely see it expanded out into a full release. Nice job!

Movement is really good! the only thing that could be improved is the speed of the dash.

Cool game, beautiful graphics.

The UI panel is little in the way of the gameplay, and could use some nice simple music track.

Other than that, very pleasant. Thank you

Cool art style and sounds to match. as said before a bit of music on the background would complete it

Very fun! The lack of music makes it a little dry, but I kept playing anyway :)

Very fun and the art looks amazing, though the walljump could use some work since it only works if you keep pressing on the wall which makes it really hard to use, and the dash is a bit too fast

Only managed to make it to wave 8 a couple times. Interesting ideas, altogether: I like the dash attack and the disappearing numbers. Makes it into a fun little action/memory hybrid, very cool. I do wish there was a little more to it, though! I bet you could add a few bits and bobs and it would be a very satisfying little game.

Very nice, liked it a lot! My one feedback is that the UI panel takes too much space and is too distracting in the center of the screen. A solution might be to push the elements to the corners of the screen.

Hi, great entry! Only issue i had was with big collisions at dash, it could be more precise: when i tried to dash toward something i often bumped into things around - it was hard to hit the mark. Very polished COMPO game :)

Could you tell me what engine did you use?

I really liked how polished this game felt; the graphics and movement were really slick. Like other people have said the UI in the top can get in the way, but maybe it can be laid out more horizontally across the top (like have the time slider to the right of the text, etc.) to make it a thin bar. The sounds felt a bit harsh or biting and I would have liked it better if the sounds were more gentle. But overall it was really fun. I especially liked how fun it felt to dash mid-jump. Great job!
