- game crashed when I tried to open the menu (during the 'game starting' animation)
- sort of gruesome going and attacking the other ducklings (but the ending is just as bad)
- graphics are really nice.
- I hit a point were the other mother had 0 ducklings and had to wait for the hunger to wear out while just killing the duckling as it spawned.... eventually a swarm of friendly ducklings were doing it and I was just 'watching'... some sort of check for the game is 'over' might have been nice.

This is one of the best game jam games I've ever played!
I loved everything about it & this could actually be a full multiplayer game if the dev wants to continue the project! Really well done I had a lot of fun! :D

What a wacky concept! Well-executed, though. I didn't get what I needed to do at first, but once it made sense, it made sense.

Loses score on the "Theme" category, though.

the humor is pretty dark.
Not sure how this fits into the theme but a fun game nevertheless.

Managed to find a strategy of camping their base and wait out the death of the opponent.

Reminded me of simants

So about the "stuck in a loop" theme. Basically in my game is about the never ending struggle for survival / success. You're one of many ducklings and even if you're a little special, a little more talented, smarter, and inspire your fellows to follow you - in the end, your only reward for winning is being eaten to give your mama the energy she needs to move on to greener pastures and start the cycle again... C'est la vie.

This game was very fun to play, would be good co op. Graphics are cool, like the animations. Sound is alright. In terms of theme, im not seeing the theme used that much. Overall its good.

I played this game for far longer than I should have reasonable done... OMG what a great entry!!! The polish on the menus, the wacky concept, the sound effects... It was an absolute blast! One thing I'd say maybe is that the combat felt a bit rough on playability. There is affordance for hits, but I think it was a bit too subtle, would have loved some added particles there. Really goob job on this one!

Presentation is on point, I can't fault it. Deagle did a great job on sound - that quack is :fire: though minor gripe: you should vary the pitch ever so slightly. Other than that, though, it really is a wonderful little game to play and you should be very proud!!

Lovely low poly graphics and a fun gameplay loop. Great job!

Lovely game, with a very cruel side. I was so shocked when I first saw a dead duck being fed to the mama

But that game looks so nice and is so much fun. I will play a lot more of this. Keep up the good work

It's a cute yet very sinister game, points for that. The gameplay works well, but I'd have preferred that the map be smaller overall, I think. It would also be generally helpful if attack enemy ducks felt more consistent.

So, minor gripes, but really impressive game overall. It's fun!

When i could pick up ducks I was thinking "are ducks food?" then I saw the AI running with a body and it was confirmed.

I don't think the call mechanic really mattered when i was playing, and I think this game would work better as an online type game then as a single player game since it would be easier to coordinate with others then with an AI.

I'd say I had fun, the graphics looked good, the gameplay was fun, and the sound choices were good.

@wolfier The call mechanic is to gather your ducklings for an attack on the enemy side. They will follow you and attack the enemy ducks you run into and they won't gather food until you release them. I'd be pretty impressed if you were able to beat angry quacking mode without using it!

Never mind I found a crash. Thinking it has something to do with the map

@wolfier Oof that's too bad! I don't know why it crashed, I've never had it crash on me. Maybe it's an issue with the WebGL version. I've had a request already as well for a Windows version for streaming so I added a Windows version if you want to give that one a try. :v: I'm sorry if you're not on Windows - I don't have any other OS and I don't want to upload something I haven't tested. Have a nice day and thanks for playing my game! ^^

Oh my god I love thoses ducks! This is a very funny game, and an interesting gameplay too! I enjoyed playing it a lot. Except after a while I was unable to attack, is that normal?

Even thought, it's a great game. I especially like the graphics, I find them very cute! Great job!

Nice idea, i liked the little ducks grabbing food and whacking each other. Also laughed very hard at the (bad?) ending :D Great concept!

I pressed space bar so many times haha. Liked the humour and general look and feel in the game, it's so cute! Nicely done, I hope to be able to make 3D characters like this some day.

@djayne Thank you very much! I'm kicking myself for forgetting to record my screen while I was working on the game. If I had, I would have offered to send you the parts where I modelled and animated the characters. >.<

This is absolutely bonkers! I love every second of it. When I understood I could kill other birds and bring them to my mom I went crazy. I don't quite understand what X does, I think it calls my bros to me but I didn't notice it and didn't use it a lot. Still didn't manage to win but it's very addictive! The graphics are also beautiful. The only problem I have is with perspective, since it feels like you walk slower up and down because of it, so I end up walking diagonally all the time because it feels less sluggish.

@fupi Thanks for playing and for the helpful feedback :3

"Z" calls your bros to you and "X" releases them (both of these keys do them one duck at a time) you can also do the same thing by clicking the plus and minus buttons on the bottom right corner. While they're following you they will attack enemy ducks around you and they won't gather food until you release them. It's for when you want to mount a concentrated attack on the enemy. xD

You can win egg and maaaaybe normal mode without using them but it'd be pretty hard to beat angry quacking without using follower ducks.

I loved how brutal this game got within a few minutes, haha! I murdered all enemy chicks and fed them all to mama. Then she ate me! :( Big sad. Anyway, I think the game looks and sounds really great. Very cute and polished. I like that you even had time for an options menu, good job. Some feedback would be that I think the game could play out a little faster and shorter, as it took quite a while to complete. I love the combat part personally, so maybe you could give that an even bigger role in the game? Just imagine giving your bro's swords and helmets and marching into battle :P Good job on this game!

@virtual-turtle-studio lol the thought of the ducklings in little helmets carrying tiny swords cracked me up. Thank you for playing my game, thank you for the feedback, and glad you enjoyed!
