Great game, the atmosphere is great!
But i don't really understand when we need to feed the tamagotchi !

Keep Going!

the idea is really cool ! I love using the tamagochi as a way to protect myself from monsters <3
The art and animation are reaaaally cool too.
The game can get a bit boring tho, I bet it could get even better if we could move or find battery for the tamagochi, but let's be honest, it's an impressive job in only 3 days

The game was very laggy for me, but that could've just been my laptop. I liked the atmosphere though.

I think that this was really well done, the intro animation, the atmosphere, and the simple yet effective gameplay. I was never confused about what i should be doing, and enjoyed my time playing. Great work.

Awesome game! And creepy. You created all of this on JS in a few days. Really impressive.

Awesome for the raw js + 3js! I like the level of polish you gave, felt like something made with some commercial engine. Great job!

It took me some time to understand what to do, you may add a short line in the intro to explain the goal. Also it feels a bit long. I died right after the third stage of the pet because the animation speed didn't let me the time to feed it. Maybe i'm still missing something. The audio tracks you chose for the music are perfectly fitting the atmosphere. Overall I did not like the game that much because I felt completely lost and didn't know what to do except waiting ang looking around.

The technical aspect of programming this in Javascript and three.js alone warrants a kudos by itself. The concept is relatively simple, but works really well with the atmosphere. The contrast between the blips of the virtual-child and the growls of the creatures sets the mood really well and I had fun surviving it.

Another thing I just thought of: this game makes me remember playing the DS at midnight and using the screen to check the shadows occasionally. Great horror game!

Creepy atmosphere, smooth animation. Impressive implementation in javascript. While not a huge fan of horror games, the tamagatchi gave it a humorous (if somewhat juxtaposed) feel. Neat that the thing that you are keeping alive is also what keeps you alive by it's light. Good work.

Thank you all for good feedback!

@strange-nebula I Should probably have provided a bit more information about the goal of the game. It's relatively short so I hoped people would reach the first evolution before they assumed that they were missing something.

@slimmerburger Yeah, I was afraid of that. It's what happens when you use a lot of lights and complex shaders in a large scene. If I had more time I would have optimized it better.

Here is a trick which will make the game run faster. When in fullscreen, use CLTR + the mouse wheel to zoom in. That will reduce the resolution (and make the game more retro, lol).

It was a fun game, I too didn't really understand when I needed to feed the pet. I like the dual use to light up the halls. Very cool concept!

@donitz That was cool! I like how you used sound and ambiance to give the player the hibigeebies, great job. I like how you incorporated the tamagotchi into a 3D game. Really cool entry. Good job!
