Free Hamster by Hozoku

[raw]
made by Hozoku for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

* Free Hamster * is a speed game, the objective is to help our dear friend the hamster to free himself from the grip of his "ball". For this you will have to accumulate enough speed while dodging the elements of the scenery to hit the wall and open his prison, but be careful not to go too fast at the risk of finding a magnificent hamster pancake !!

This game is playable with mouse or xBox controllers but we recommend the joystick which is more pleasant

Just a heads up, there are 2 Free Hamster.exe files at different depths in the extracted directory. Only the one deepest inside works, the other throws an error :) Little tricky to control with the keyboard, might just be me though! The environment and graphics are fantastic for such a short development time!

Great game!

Noticed little bug when trying to change sound volume it does not take effect.

Very polished game, but controls feel little bit irresponsive.

Well, the best I've seen today. Keep it up! Good luck!

Alex.

It was really fun to try and improve while also just smashing through different obstacles despite the controls feeling a little unpredictable.

The graphics team did a great job and that hamster-in-a-ball is absolutely adorable!

I had a lot of fun! I enjoyed crashing against the obstacles and the final screen with the sexy hamster was a nice touch ;) I played with a controller and it felt good, but sometimes the controlls felt a little off. Nice little game!
